Then in the top left click on link to this product

Yeah, essentially everything you can buy on Amazon can be promoted as an affiliate.

Whatever is available for sale for customers is available to affiliates as well.

Yes, there are no restrictions on Amazon, you can promote any product you want.

When you're signed into amazon simply search for the book you want to promote. When you reach the product description page simply click the link called "Link to this page" which is in the upper left corner when you're logged in. From there you can select what associate ID to use in your banners or text within articles.
