Hello,

I completed several courses in search engine optimization and am looking for a good first "thing" to invest in. I'm eager to get started and want to pick the right tool to really help me optimize all my pages and develop strong seo skills for both myself and my clients.

I'm considering buying Market Samurai and was offered their software at a discounted rate if I purchase within the next 6 days (of my trial).

Should I bite and get it?

Is it worth the investment?...or should I save up some cash for more expensive stuff?

Thanks for your advice.

It is normally 149 but is being offered for $97 for the next 6 days. Plus they are offering free updates.

Other programs usually charge a monthly or annual fee for algorithm updates.

You mentioned that you have completed many courses pertaining to SEO. But have you started earning out of SEO or anything else connected to the courses that you have competed?

Reason I'm asking is because you have to balance your spending against your earnings. If you have not earned $97 yet you are better off with the free tools.

market samurai is not the product it was.

I know many people here will laugh but i've actually started using Traffic Travis instead - it many have as many features but at least the features it does have work reliably.

      Max,

I started studying SEO about 4 weeks ago after realizing the importance of it for building and starting my business. My goal - to learn as much as I could.

Simply put, I didn't want to create content that was not SEO optimized and a site that didn't fully take advantage of SEO.

Thus I shifted focus to learning as much as I can about SEO so that I can maximize my efforts and increase overall organic traffic.

In my opinion automated softwares and tools just aren't THAT helpful. They do help, but nothing beats good ol' manual internet marketing techniques.

I'd take $97 and buy $97 worth of Ads if it were me. That would do you much better in the long run. Spend $30 on backlinks, $30 on banners and $37 on some newspaper ads or something.

If your site converts then advertise that MOFO.

Search engine optimization will only get you so far. I see sites with NO SEO at all ranked 1st on Google all the time. Heck I don't even use keywords half the time anymore.

It's just another bootleg product that doesn't conform to Google's terms. 'Invest' in something better.

MS offers you nothing that will help your online business. Simple as that. It is an overhyped, overpriced POS.

While I agree with a lot of the negative words about MS, it still is somewhat useful if you use it for free. Market Samurai set up a deal with a blogger that he could challenge people to create a micro niche website and make money in 40 day's, and one of the tools that was vital to the challenge was MS.

If you go to marketsamurai com/trial-extension.php you can enter your name and email and they will give you a 40 day "trial". I have been re upping my 40 day trial for about half a year now.

For being free, it is the best FREE tool.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the honest recent opinions on MS. I was thinking of buying it but will get Traffic Travis instead and use some of the other free tools. I'm still interested in a keyword research tool and software that can help me find all my competitor's stats - backlinks, traffic, etc... Seems the better stuff out there are things like SEOcockpit which are super expensive.
