Hey I had never heard about link wheel, thanks to you for diverting my attention to this, I did some quick research and got to know, its like we create several 2.0 we properties and link them to each other and then link each of them to our money site. Also got an image.

The main idea is that the structure of Link Pyramid consists of of 3 parts: base links, mid-grade links and highest-quality links.

Its easy to create a link wheel. Get hold of few web 2.0 sites and post relevant content relevant to your main site) in them. Connect these web 2.0 sites in a wheel fashion with each other. Each site must have only 1 outgoing link and 1 incoming link. Connect the one with high link authority to your main site.

Just to add, post-panda adding multiple backlinks of the same kind might not reap the same results. So buying like 10 wheels works as much as 2 wheels would. Diversigy your source of backlinks as much as possible; throw in forum profiles, edu profiles, micro blog posts, doc sharing, links from a blog network and so on.

The Idea behind the Link Pyramid is that while link juice can pass from one site to the next, ranking penalties generally stop after one hop. It works on the premise that the lowest quality sites link upwards to the next higher quality sites in your network. Sites can link laterally and upwards but not downwards.

there is nothing more difficult about this. You just have to link your post to main site and then link same post to next web 2.0 properties.

Link wheel is very effective method though it takes time, but finally you will get advantage.

Use both, and use neither. Randomize everything, don't follow a pattern.

Without any doubt, my vote goes for Linkwheel because they are easy to create, easy to maintain and easy to update. Too much hassle is required for multiple tier link pyramids. I have created almost over 5000 linkwheels for my clients at Fiverr and over 95% are satisfied with the results even after Penguin and recent EMD updates. So yes for Linkwheel.
