Link Building Tool Business Advice

Greetings Everyone,

Although new to the forum, I'm definitely enjoying the insight that people have to offer other users, so I thought I'd reach out. For the last 5 months I've been building a tool that generates lists of domains sortable by strength, several other metrics, and has 3 sample URLs where competitors have links (so you can quickly scan through the list to determine types of domains blogs, forums, link exchanges, etc) by analyzing the competition. That being said I'm not to the point where I feel I can monetize this service, but I want to decide the best way of doing it.

The problem with the tool is it takes a long time to run depending on the number of competitors I use, and how many backlinks they have. To analyze 250K links it takes around 20 hours to generate a report (generates a list of 4,000+ domains for 250K links roughly), so I am constricted with the number of reports I can run per month. So right now I am thinking:

1) Charge a hefty amount to generate an exclusive list I'm not going to resell
or
2) Resell link building lists, and give the initial client updates to future versions of the list

What are your thoughts? With the latest panda update to me this seems the way of getting around it by focusing on a lower number of higher quality links that the competition in any industry have done the leg work to find. I'd appreciate any advice, and no I don't have sample reports to show yet as I don't want you warriors beating me to the punch and claiming I copied you! But I will say one SEO company is already using some of these reports.
