I've heard there are ways to avoid the sandbox. Do these hold any value? Aside from having an old/established domain/site.

Say I...
  • had decent on-page SEO
  • submitted 25 quality articles to EZA, iSnare and GoArticles a month
  • submitted my site to "quality" *free* directories... say 100-400/month (I would have to keep up the 100-400 back links per month, right?)
  • also got back links from high ranked indirect competitors, assume 5 a month (some "deep linking" to a blog that was basically just the articles I submitted, but reworded a little)
  • non-spam comments on similar blogs w/ do-follow, and also some forums - assume 10 a week
Would I have a chance at avoiding the Google sandbox or at least shortening it, or would that seem too good and end up getting me banned from the SERPs... or would Google even give a flying fooey?

I know no one can know for sure, but guesses can be made (I hope).

Trying to decide whether or not I should pony up the extra cash for an old domain for this project or not -- or if I even could. Limiting my investment to $50 for a case study (I could discount domain/hosting from that $50, but I hate it when people do that in case studies... or they just happen to have an advantage like a domain they haven't used for years).

Thanks in advance!

Good luck & God bless,
Jesse
