I don't know anything about those sites, but...

1) On one hand I would be happy if everyone on the Internet would spread around my Adsense ID so I could make tons of money. Go ahead everyone, use my ID on your sites

2) On the other hand, if someone misuses your ID, it could get your account banned (if you had one).

I would suppose they want it so you get paid for visitors you bring somehow?

The only legit reason I can only imagine for wanting your Adsense account is if they do ad revenue sharing, like Hubpages does, who until recently split clicks rather than money, so your account got 60% of the ad clicks.

It's not secret information, can't someone just read your account from any page showing Adsense ads?

Not related, but some can spy on your properties by using a scraper search tool to locate all sites using your account number.

i think its depend of what types of account do you have?and i think sharing id with someone is not hundred percent safety.

No risk of losing money from an Adsense ID. It could get your adsense account banned though if someone does use your ID for non legit purposes. But then again, why would they target you? Adsense IDs can be found just by viewing the source of the web page that contains the ad.

Unless they are doing a revenue split, where they will show your ads a certain percentage of the time, I would not do it.

If it is a legitimate website that does some type of revenue sharing program then I would say yes, it is most likely alright to give them your adsense id because it is a necessity in order to set up your account. However, I would make sure I researched the legitimacy well because it's easy to be banned by adsense.

Depends how much value your content provides. Never allow your adsense to show up for anything you didn't authorize. No mystery content.

If you use adsense on your website anyone can see your ad sense ID when viewing source code, so it is not really something you must keep a secret at all cost. But if you want to participate in revenue sharing sites then it is up to you really.

If I am not mistaken, they want an access to your account so every time your ad on shetoldme clicked they will split the revenue of click that generated from that site

Most revenue sharing sites like hubpages request you for adsense ID , amazon ID so you get a share of the ads that get clicked on your page.

I recommend you not to do so.

There is not any danger with it. Anyone can see your adsense publisher id if he loads the code of your website that ads are placed on it. And no one can do anything yb having your adsense id, so its safe and OK.

So......how can you even provide a publisher ID?

You can't just go out and get one.

I assume wanting code is mandatory because it helps weed

spam...

Not knowing anything about the site, I decided to take a gander.

Noticed that they are in fact violating adsense TOS by placing
ads that look exactly like adsense. I would stay away from any
program that does not know the rules. See for yourself:

I doubt if they have any special relationship with google. Looks
to me like a spam/link farm. But, I have judged things wrongly
in the past. But the site looks like junk created for ads and
nothing more.
