Question about cloaking clickbank links

Hello,

I'm using wordpress and pretty link lite plugin. However, I'm worried about one thing. I cloaked my clickbank links to mydomain.com/go

However, when I do google search for site: http://mydomain . com, then it will also show mydomain.com/go in search results. Is there some way to disable it? I think google might penalize me for this. Thanks

As you know about cloaking, cloaking is come under blackhat SEO. If you do illegal work then Google send your website in SandBox.

"Cloaking is a black hat search engine optimization (SEO) technique in which the content presented to the search engine spider is different to that presented to the user's browser."

How to cloak the link then? I see many websites who have clickbank links cloaked and none of the seems to have problems. Even my other site has cloaked links and everything is ok, but seems like google found this link and indexed it. :/

When most people use the term "cloaking a link" they really mean "link redirection". The terms get used interchangable.

What the OP is talking about here is link redirection and not link cloaking.

Maybe you can advise me some great plugin besides pretty link lite, since google found it and put it up. This might be the one reason why my main page got lost from SERPS.

    OR

Maybe I can block that URL in my robots.txt? Because I really believe that cloaked links can take a huge effect while converting sales. But i'm not very technical guy, so maybe someone can show me what exactly should I put in robots.txt file?

yes. noindex would work for deindexing the page. But anything illegal is not supported. I think there are lots of legitimate ways to make money online.

All you need is the NOINDEX tag on the page you don't want in the SERPs, the next time Google finds links to the .../go/ page they'll remove the .../go/ page from the SERPs.

Thanks for the info, however, as I said before I'm not very technical guy. How or where can I put this "NOINDEX" tag?

Redirecting your website domain to an other URL affect SEO. A 301 redirect is implemented to make it permanent.
