Is Google Adword's Keyword Suggestion Tool Data Correct - Case Study

Hello Warriors.. I want to discuss a strange case with all of you related to search traffic.

I used Google Adword's Keyword suggestion tool to target a keyword for my blog. The keyword I chose was "Environmental Issues" and the current Global Monthly Searches as indicated by the tools is 4,50,000.

I worked for days and nights for approximately 6 months to build backlinks for my blog and finally two weeks ago, my blog started appearing on the first page of Google SERP for the targeted keyword "Environmental Issues".

Now the strange thing is that my website hasn't received a single visit from the Google search results via keyword "Environmental Issues" against which my blog is appearing on the first page. My blog traffic is still the same as it was before. Now if I calculate the average searches for "Environmental Issues" on per day basis, it comes around 15000 per day.

For a least 1% probability that some user will click on my blog, it still comes around 150 clicks per day. But my blog stats, server stats and Google Analytics stats are all showing the same routine traffic. There is no search traffic against "Environmental Issues" keyword and its already third week of my blog appearing on first page.

The link to my blog is in signature.

My website is appearing on 4th number and there is no such website environmentalissues.net in the search results. Is there any issue with the country specif results. When I open google.com it redirects me to google.co.in

    And mine website is environmentabout.com

You should not have used global as it doesn't give you and accurate number and your page isn't on the first or second page of google so I'm not sure why you would expect any traffic....

Don't go after Global statistics. Pick the exact option.

I just used a proxy server from Canada, searched google.com from their proxy server for the keyword "Environmental Issues" and my website is not appearing on first page.

So that means my website is ranked on page 1 for google.co.in only. I didn't know it a while ago.. That's strange.

Now the big question for me is what do I do so that my website rank on first page of Google for google.com as well??

This thread is crazy. What makes you think you can slap
a site together and by magic google will rank it?

It may never get ranked. But that has nothing to do with
the number of searches. It has to do with a million other
      things. Go study that.

If I create some bogus site with warrior forum as a keyword
with some lame-o domain, how much google traffic do you
think I would get from the term, warrior forum?

I can't just pick a keyword and expect google traffic.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

I don't know what was on your mind when you wrote all that stuff but my site is not a scrap site. I have built this site over more than 3 years and have written articles that have been highly appreciated. It's an educational website and not meant to compete with any existing website.
