My site has been on top of page 2 #11 spot for a couple of weeks steady. I even hit page 1 a couple of times but then bounced back to page 2 within hours.

I was getting some hits last couple a weeks averaging 8-10 a day which didn't seem like much but there was traffic. Then the last 3 or 4 days I got nothing, not even a single hit but I'm in the same spot on page 2 #11 so I don't really understand ?

    1) most people will not look beyond the top 1-3 spots of PAGE 1 on Google so keep working your site and building it up!

    2) Don't just rely on Google and getting to the top of page 1 for traffic - plenty of ways to drive traffic to your site without even being in the first 10 pages of Google (twitter, stumble upon, facebook, linked in, forums, reddit)

Do a google search for Kim Roach - she has a great article on how she gets 1000 visitors a day to her blog

Edit - actually here is the link - enjoy!

totally depends on your keywords. some items, such as expensive products where there's competition, will see people searching onto the second and third pages for price shopping. Others, possibly including yours, produce search volume but little true-to-form shopping / searching thru the multiple Google results pages. All product / KW dependent.

Very rarely do my sites on the second page get more than 5-10 clicks a day even with 10,000 search keywords.

Aside from the fact that if the keyword is not a highly searched keyword, very rarely do searched go beyond the first page. I know majority of the time when I am looking for stuff, I never go pass the first page unless am doing IM research.

Yeah it's true. Page 2 #11 maybe the best spot there is. Because most will read page 1 and did not find anything and they go to page 2. but then those are just looking for information --

page 1 at #1 is the way to go.

You have to make it to Google top 3 to see decent traffic. Always aim for Google #1.

    Google #1 - 36% traffic
    Google#2 - 10%
    Google#3 - 8%

    Google#11 - less than 1 %

Well that also depends on the keyword and the amount of searches it gets. Because 1% of a lot can be a lot so even the #10 ranking website would get a lot of traffic.

Other factors to consider also are the titles and description of the website that will show in search results. A lower ranking website can bet a better ctr if it has a better title and description than a high ranking website.

    Hi,

@Aussie_Al, thanks for the great link tip 21 ways to get 1000 visitors a day, but note this, traffic fro, social sites and so on are not value, with partner programm produicts and this traffic will not click on adsense, so I lost time and energy to work with this.

Syndication yes, but only to ezines similiar to my niche, for traffic and backlinks.

To make 500$ with adsense micro niche site with a keyword who has 1300 exact searchvolume in external tool, on spot 4-6 in google first page or spot 1-3 (most of them are payed ads-the google gent program), ist not possible too.

External tool shows only 35% from that traffic, organic seo traffic is 65%, so that i snot 1300 search volume in this example, it will be 2000-2500 search volume, so when you get 5% from them on first page, that will be not enough to make 500$ with adsense in month, not near than 100$ in month, sorry it's sad,but true.
