Lately most of the threads on the forum are about adsense banning, sites disappearing, deindexing, where to buy links etc. I see members debating on why someone got banned , some say it might because they had to many sites but that can't be right because I've seen people who only say they had few sites get banned. I even read that one guy got banned and he didn't even have adsense on none of his sites.

Either way in the end what's the point of debating this topic or any other topics involving penalties or bannings when the only people who really know what's going on are google employees.

All this talk of adsense bannings has got me thinking about doing something that I should have done long ago and that is to diversify my income stream.

On average I read sometimes 8 to 10 hours a day on different methods of earning money, anything from bum marketing to adult friend finder affiliates and everything in between. I read entire threads or just one page article all to add to my knowledge of how to make money online.

But honestly all that reading don't mean jack, without experimenting or getting feedback from others who already did or who are trying it and that's why I come here but lately I see less talk about making money and more talk about things that don't matter.

I AM HERE TO MAKE MONEY. What are you here for?

Here's a idea that I've had for site that's new to me but probably old to others as it hs already been done.

This is for netflix affiliate's who get paid 16 for every free sign up. Basically my idea is to make a large authority site on tv shows of the 80s and 90s. I check a lot of old shows such as buffy the vampire slayer, knight rider, gummie bears, the secret to my identity etc all or most have green lights in any keyword tool and I can think of plenty of ways to monetize a site like this.

I was thinking of using amazon and netflix for a site like this. Amazon for posters,mugs,t-shirts ,dvds etc. I would have a stand alone squeeze page for netflix telling visitors all about how great netflix is and how they can join free.

In theory I figure anyone still searching for a 10 yr old tv show must love it enough to either spend money on merchandise or at least sign up for a free trial of netflix.

But there's a few holes in my idea, for one netflix has been having a little bit of trouble with there online selection of movies . I would hate to build a site focusing on using netflix only to have hem go out of business 3 yrs later.

Second I've always relied on longtail traffic with high cpc but with this Idea I think I would need a ton of traffic to make any kind of money. Which would lead me down the path of trying to backlink for higher ranking which could possibly lead to a unnatural links penalty.

I need help people, I know how to make money with adsense but I no longer want to rely on adsense alone nor should you.

I would like us to focus on making money methods not complaining about how we got banned or deindexed. If you get hit with a penalty learn from it and move on.

The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to start out small.

Don't start your project with the mindset of making some huge general authority movie site.

Start in a sub-genre, or a sub-sub-sub genre of film.

Netflix may not be around forever but Amazon will be and Netflix clones will be too.

Your business idea seems substantial and a quick switch of affiliates 3yrs down the track is not going to kill your business.

Start out small and target long-tail film name keywords which have low competition but highly targeted to your landing pages.

Expand on this over time and you will rank more general keywords a lot easier.

Whitehat SEO and link building will serve you well in direct traffic as well as long-lasting rankings so your business can become as stable as you are willing to put effort in.

Hope this helps and good luck with your venture.

Thank you very much for the advice, I believe we spoke before about me using your backlinking service I didn't take you up on your offer but do remember that your stand up guy.

I also had a idea of making sites about movies that haven't even come out yet, for example the avengers 2. The avengers 1 hasn't even come out yet but I'm guessing with the likes of hulk, ironman, thor, captain america that the movie will be a success. But thats just crazy lil thought I had briefly.

I like your idea, I've had one roughly similar in the past. More importantly, however, I love tv shows from the 80s and 90s. I might be the only person who still watches ALF (lame, I know). I also use Netflix since I don't have cable.

Have you looked into whether or not Hulu Plus has an affiliate program? I know Hulu has a lot of those shows (it's where I watch ALF, yes, I know it's lame)

I think you could make some good money with this idea if you could really establish authority and popularity. With the right branding and image I think it could take off well.

If you need someone to write for you I would actually really enjoy writing about this topic! I get a lot of orders and it's rare that I get to write about something I personally enjoy.

        Best of luck!

Lol. I like this guy. I don't know whether it is naivety or not. But it's refreshing to hear someone talk about their ideas so openly.

You're idea sounds like a gamble 2 me bro.

Personally, being an Adsense guy myself. I don't like to go to hard at any long term CPA or affiliate stuff that I cant catch with Adsense as well.

Lol, I also wouldn't post any more of your ideas on this forum.

I like to share these ideas to get feedback, to get people thinking and discussing new methods of making money ,something that's becoming rare on this forum. I feel like it's enough room for everybody to make money. This idea is something I thought about doing but probably wont attempt it.

Really it doesn't matter If Netflix disappears tomorrow or not as long as you have alternatives to replace the Netflix Ads.

Obviously you don't want Netflix to disappear but being prepared with a plan-B affiliate program is a good idea.

You already said your traffic is searching for old TV shows, they are not searching for Netflix, that right there leaves you wide open to promoting affiliate programs for anything you want, as often as you want, so long as it's related to video/TV/movies.

CB (Clickbank) has a "Satellite TV to PC" product that usually has a very high gravity (377.69), you might want to rotate that CB offer with Netflix & see which converts the best with your traffic.

Go to CB & search for "Satellitedirect", it has a $29.55 average sale. I have no idea If the product is any good, still it's related to your traffic & Netflix.

If you start rotating multiple affiliate products from the start, you'll be in a better position years from now.

        1) Two very similar affiliate products can be split test (long before any problems happen), that will give you data now to know which offer converts the best with your own traffic.

        2) If something happens & the best converting offer goes out of business, etc..., simply slap the 2nd best converting offer in it's place & move on. The money might drop, but at least it's still earning something until you can recover (Plan-B buys you recovery time).
