How I Rank My Keywords in The First Page in Google in 2 months?

I’m new in online marketing and I did learn a lot from this warrior forum. Now I decide to disclose how I rank my keywords in the first page in Google within 2 months. Hope this post can benefit you a little bit.

1. Establish Website

1) I registered EMDs (exact match domain) with name.com

.com .net .org domains are better: Mykeyword.com Mykeyword.net Mykeyword.org

2) I used div+css to establish my site which is more search engine friendly.
A skilled online marketing expert has told me that since he changes his site from table format to div+css, his sales has been boost 2 times.

3) One directory contents

Usually 1 to 3 directory depth is better for search engine spiders to crawl. Since my site is a small one, I used just 1 directory depth: Mykeyword.com/xxx.html

4) I hired a UI designer to design web icons and interface for my site.

2. Add Content

I used Google Keyword Tool to help me choose webpage keywords. I chose 200+ keywords exact match to my niche. (That depends)

Check Out Google Competition

Check the competition rate in Google by hands. Although it seems a little bit difficult, the result is more accurate.

Usually, I will check out how many WebPages which are using the keyword in title, description and site URL in the first and second Google search pages:

1-3 WebPages-low competition
4-7 WebPages-medium competition
8-10 WebPages-high competition

Of course, we should not only depend on Google keyword tool, but also need to check out competitor’s keywords and think about more related keywords.
Then I will write original contents which should be pretty useful for visitors!

3. On-page SEO:

Keywords distribution:
*Tag:
<Keywords>: 1 time
<Title>:1 time
<Description> 2 times

*content
First paragraph-1 time
Last paragraph-1 time

H1- 1 time
H2- 1 time
H3- 1 time

Add <b><strong><em><i><u> tag to my keyword one time separately.

I use webconfs tool to check for keywords density of my WebPages (which should be from 2%-8%).
Inbound link and backlink

Add inbound links:

Find out the targeted keyword which appears on other site pages and use it to add the inbound link for the keyword page (the more the better):

<a href=” targeted keywords.html” title=” targeted keyword”>targeted keyword</a> (Add keywords of other pages of your site to this page)

Add Nofollow Backlink

Check out one high authority (PR+5) site and add a nofollow backlink for it:
<a href="www.othersite.com" style="text-decoration: none; color: #000000"> keywords</a>

4. Make Sitemap

Building and submitting sitemap can get the search engine spider crawl and rank for site as soon as possible. So this step really helped me a lot and made my site indexed by Google within 2 day. I often use a free sitemap generator and submitter - Sitemap X and then use it ping search engines.

5. Off-page SEO:

I write original articles and submit them to high PR article directories, blogs, Wordpress sites, wiki sites, bookmarks and web2.0 sites, etc.

Remember: Link variety is pretty important. I have concluded a list of high PR article submission sites. If you are interested, please PM me; I won’t list them here. If you have enough time, you can also do video, E-book and Slide submission.

Just with the 5 steps, many of my keywords have been shown in the first page in Google in 2 months.

I appreciate that all of warrior members and experts could give me some suggestions and guidance. Thank you all.

      • [1] reply
  • 2-3% would be ideal in terms of SEO , but if you write unique content really don't bother much about keyword density.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • Yes, correct! Sometimes I don't use KT density tools, just account for it by myself. The tools's data is not so exact.

  • Thank you so much Amy for providing me with useful SEO tips. I am very interested in the 'make sitemap' part. I always use xml-sitemaps.com/ to generate sitemap, but it's quite slow and I have to use paid versions for more functions.

Does the sitemap X you mentioned is completely free? How to download it?
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • Yes,it's completely free and works very fast. A friend recommends it to me. The sitemap it generate is quite formatted and standard-based of search engines .Best of all ,with the built-in scheduler , it can update sitemap and ping search engines fully-automatically.

  • Hi Amy, Have you experienced the google dance while you were backlinking your site?
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • After optimizing my webpage content and adding the inbound links for a few days, then I will create backlinks . I will add backlinks step by step ,from a few amount to big, so my keyword rankings don't drop a lot.
  • I've never seen 8% before. That just sounds a bit overboard. I have ranked a site with 3% though, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend that. I think it should be closer to about 1% - but test and use whatever works for you. I know google has a tendancy for allowing all types of sites to rank.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Hi Amy,

  • Hey, I tried to PM you but I'm too much of a noob for these boards apparently!

Was just wondering if I could get your list of submission sites, have been thinking for a while now that I need a bit more link diversity. Do you use any automated software for these? Also do you have any suggestions for sites to submit video, E-books or Slides?

Also just so I'm not just taking value I thought I should add that you should use alt tags in your links too. I have found that they are slightly more effective than title tags. This is especially true for images.

    Thanks,

    TNF

    • Tell me your email, then I will post it to you. BTW, I don't use any article submitting tool ,just by hands, we work as a sort of team, a few people works with me.

Yes, you are right, alt is pretty important for images, thank you for this. I usually add both title and alt for a image.
  • Hi Amy, You are targeting 2 keywords which have about 500 searches monthly, And after two month you are making 2k. I am new as well and some people say to go after 1000 to 2500 monthly searches for the main keyword and lower search for inner pages. But I didn't think about lower keywords for my main site.

Thanks for the information you are sharing with us

    • Hello,lazydaisy:

Thank you for replying. I'm not just targeting two keywords, but more. The keywords i chose are long tail keywords which have more than 200 exact matches, most of them are 800,1000 exact matches. But I think this number is related to your niche. I here just provide with you my experiences, you can do your keyword research according to your product.
  • Hey Amy,

Few of my site has definitely went down this morning.

    • Yes,most of my webpages have been dropped in the SERPS, especially for the newly added pages. However, Some of my old pages which doesn't do SEO better run in the first position in Google. This is funny!! Someone says Google penalize at webspam and spun content. All my content is high quality and original. I'm still working on finding out the answers. What about you?
      • [1] reply
  • Most of my micro niche sites no significant change. Only 2 of my sites drop in SERP, including 1 authority site.

    • Thank so much ,I'm still working on the penguin update. Since I have reduced keywords density in the content, their rankings went up gradually. Now GG doesn't care about the backlinks and keywords density, just focus on traffic, brand and user experience.
  • Persistence is the key to success this method.

  • Thanks a lot; Amy. I have downloaded Sitemap X you have recommended. Great sitemap generator, it is free and really deserves to have a try.
