Quick Question!

Hey, I'm a newb and I just wrote my first post on my first EMD ever 2 days ago. I checked my keyword putting in between "" as in "keyword here" and I'm already on place 14th on the 2nd page (after 2 posts with embeded youtube and pics, no backlinks or social network stuff). If I search just the keyword, without the "", I'm still nowhere to be found though.

Is this a good sign already or do I still have a ton of work ahead of me? thanks!

    you're making a good start.. but for now I'd recommend concentrating on your your content and not checking the rankings constantly (it'll drive you mad and is a major distraction).

    how many posts are you aiming to write? I'm going to shamelessly plug my free ebook (see my sig) as it has tons of info on how to make niche sites the 'right' way.

    Nobody will search for your keyword with the ""


    Dont worry about rankings right now. Start to build backlinks for two weeks and then check back and see where you are.

    For example I would start with

    10 web2.0 with unique content ---- Build 50 high pr comments, 50 profiles and 50 bookmarks to your web 2.0

    Then build Several article directories to your website with unique content and pump those up the same way.

    Finally add some social network stuff to your site.

    mix up your anchors and you should be good.
