Hi everyone

I am looking for someone to optimize adwords campaigns for a couple of websites I own.

I posted a project on eLance and currently interviewing a few candidates, but I am not sure what to ask for and how to spot the fake ones from the real deal.

Is eLance a good place to hire PPC specialists? What questions should I ask? how can I spot the good ones? and what typical results should I expect from them?

Many thanks!

I would search locally first (craigslist), so you can at least sit down with them to go over the services and fees. Most PPC management companies charge a hefty set up fee and then charge a percentage of your ad spend and try to get you to sign a contract. Keep in mind Landing Pages are essential for PPC management and probably will be charged in addition to management fees. Another thing they don't usually mention is fake click monitoring which can easily account for 20% of your budget.

I offer these services myself at rates far below what marketing firms charge and I structure pricing around performance. Contact me for more details.

Have you decided whether you are looking for a freelancer or an agency?

Hiring a freelancer offers you the advantage of only having to deal with one person. Some people prefer this method because they like to build relationship and trust with an individual that they are comfortable with.

An agency will have a number of dedicated employees that have potentially mastered certain aspects of AdWords. An agency can pool together all of their resources to maximize your results.

When you have made your decision get in contact with people and get them to provide you with case studies or proof of their capabilities. The trick is to compare a number of different agencies or freelancers to ensure you are getting the best for your money.

      I hope this helped.
