Is it highly difficult to rank a sales page on google for a low competition keyword? Thank you.

  • No, not really. I have focused on ranking category pages in the past. All ranked well without any problems. Product pages won't be difficult for specific keyword phrases relating to that product. Just set up the product page to be optimized for the targeted keyword - H1/H2's, Page Title, Meta Descriptions etc.

  • It's not difficult if you build high quality backlinks. You can see hundreds of sales pages ranking high on Google even if it's high competition.
  • Ranking Sales page is not hard. It's about your site structure. You may set your home page as main page and you should also have blog post to make the site fresh.

    However, you can also rank 1 page sales page if your competition is low with exact match domain and some backlinks. It will rank harder if you use pictures instead if text because Google won't know what your site is about.
  • Just make sure you do your on page SEO and vary your anchor links and you will be fine.

Use article marketing to promote your website and focus on link building. As long as your sales page is keyword rich and provides helpful information, you will get good results.
