Adwords allows traffic to squeeze pages now?

I always thought Google didn't like PPC traffic to go to squeeze pages, but I'm seeing dozens of them now.

For example, search "smoother skin", and one of the top advertisers leads to this page: tryhydroxatone

Did Google change its rules recently?

You can do it- Google may give you a low quality score if it's not set up right , but it's allowed.

Look below the fold, the page does have an educational feel to it. Obviously a trick by the marketers but it does have a lot more info than your average squeeze page. So maybe that's the trick..

TrustedCopy is that new? Last year I tried and it was rejected, I believe the reason was 'too promotional' or something like that. Then I read about other people having the same problem so I didn't try again. But obviously some people do it as the OP showed, so I'll probably try again sometime and just tweak the page.

That's actually a fantastic landing page. They must be converting ppc traffic at 8-10%

  • It's possible but you MUST create a "Privacy Policy" / Terms of Conditions. Google look for this factors and it may harm you page if you have an opt-in form on the landing page, without these two pages.

Makes no sense to be worried about other ads.
Police cannot catch all speeders or drug dealers.

Be that as it may, if people would just look, they would
know that the makers of hydroxatone own that site.
I'm sure they are huge buyers of ads. Big clients get
      different rules than Joe Shmo.

having said that, google does not mind squeeze pages if
done right. That page is not a squeeze page. In fact,
it's a perfect example for people to copy.

The fact is the most common conversion on Adwords will be lead gen.

Search equity release, search office rental, search chiropractors the list goes on, these are all going to be optin type pages, the fact is it makes better business sense for big advertisers to collect leads then market to them.

To my knowledge Google has never said they don't allow squeeze type pages, it just doesn't want poor quality for its users. Large advertisers are real companies that give the users what they are looking for.

Also it will help that large advertisers are spending 5 - 6+ figures a month

Google has always technically allowed squeeze pages. I've had a Google rep at different times (because of my ad spend). Asking the rep specifically, they said they do allow it as long as it meets their criteria.

You have to have a way out of the landing page--navigation. You also need a terms page, a privacy page, and about us, contact us, etc.

The page has to explain why you are asking for the opt-in, what you'll do with the email.

Having an education feel is huge too. I think a short video and blind bullet copy can go along way.

KevinW is right. I have tons of squeeze pages out there and I'm able to lower CPC over time (versus increasing).

If you look at the link in the OP, the order form in the right sidebar goes to a checkout on the same domain instead of redirecting to the average affiliate type checkout.
