Google is on a de-indexing rampage, at the moment, against "bought backlink systems/methods". Several private blog networks marketed as services very similar to at least one that you've mentioned above have just had all their sites de-indexed. A big strategic re-think about the extent to which you want to rely on Google traffic, and whether you really want to try to manipulate their rankings, may help you a lot.

This post is about 6 months old but still (at least) equally relevant, I think: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5084315

You can create great content and build plenty of free quality backlinks without spending any money. Thats not enough money to do anything substantial on the web anyway. Take that money and put it in an IRA. : )

I would spend that money on content instead of backlinks.

I would seriously consider contacting me to work out a plan for you. I dont say this for myself as the current workload is already kind of killing me, but if you want real results without having to bother that blog networks get deindexed then I'm your solution without doubt.

Does that sound confident or what Really don't want to sound like a prick who knows it all but with my new techniques I just ranked 6 sites to page 1 all within 4-5 days. I amazed myself to be honest.

Don't listen to the people who say content ranks out of itself, unless you want to write a hundred pages of content first, imagine what that would cost. No disrespect Nesh but there is a lot better and faster way that almost no one is utilizing. As an example I just ranked a page completely written in Latin (except for the title and h1 tag) from nowhere to #2 within 4 days. The client I did this for has tons of sites that I work on so he actually totally forgot about that site, he even left a review and he saw it at #1 but I saw it at #2 so perhaps it was dancing a bit. And those links that I used stick.

No offense taken . To each his own , I prefer content over backlinks because I'm 100% sure I'll never receive a penalty for having a site with plenty of informative articles. I wont rank for a 2 word phrase but rather hundreds of long tail phrases and this can be achieved immediately after my sites get indexed.

I actually like your attitude about your service, if I had to choose a backlinking service from the warrior forum you would be my first choice.

Thanks and very valid point, it's impossible to receive a penalty when there are no links. The things that bothers me personally is that I'v setup a site a few months ago with 80 articles, it's ranking totally nowhere (and I haven't done any linkbuilding). It's a review site that reviews companies, so we write something about the history of the company and such.

Each page is 300 words, and we targetted companies in about 10 diferent categories and used some plugins for internal linking. Since our keywords are the company names it should be pretty easy keywords you would think. But 3 months later we still only receive 4-8 visitors a day so that explains why I'm not a great fan of just writing content to rank.

Perhaps the articles are not related enough and the quality of the articles isn't that very great either but I would've expected at least some rankings. Then I rank that latin pages with links only, which shouldn't rank anywhere, so thats where my thoughts come from really.

Review pages are already in great supply. That would mean that authority/backlinks will come into play.

For other niches with less of an oversupply of content, links probably don't matter as much.

            It's tough to make a review unique/compelling/interesting.

That's weird I have a new site with 4 posts that started to rank the next day after I bought the domain name. It ranks for the long tail phrase that I want to rank for. My only real competition is yahoo answers.

Perhaps onpage SEO questions but I am doing mostly offpage and that's what I am good at and that's why I am so busy. I have no idea who "nickwatson" is btw. For your convenience I just did a quick search on "nickwatson" and the strategy that he explains in his thread is 100% the same as the one I read on another forum called BlackHatWorld and I mentioned that in his thread.

Besides that I'm never too old to learn and in this business it's important to stay up to date and make changes when needed. There has been a huge change in SEO lately after the deindexing of all the mayor blog networks and I adapted.

    Hi R2R,

You've asked me this question on my forum, but I'll answer it here also...

At this point in time, I suggest you spend your monthly budget acquiring a quality aged domain or two a month. You have to do your research so you aren't ripped off.

I'd also spend $20 a month on a reseller hosting account and join www.Seedz.net (My site) which is a new hosting exchange club. I'd put each domain on different hosting accounts you trade with other members to start building your own custom network of sites.

Then I'd use the rest of your budget to develop good quality content to use on your network.

By building and using your own private network, you are in control of everything, including quality, relevance, what links go on your homepage, etc. plus the ability to add contextual links whenever and wherever you want.

"Gently" build some decent links to each domain...

You don't need a lot of your own domains for this strategy to work, depending on your keywords. And it doesn't cost a lot of money.

This would be certainly a great way to build up mini nets ,but how secure would it be to exchange hostings with other users? would our data not be open to threats?

Any time you add another person to any equation there is added risk. In the case of trading hosting, I see the biggest risk as a partner's hosting ending, either through them not paying a bill or going out of business.

And yes, they will have access to your traffic stats as well as being able to figure out some of your linking strategies and money sites.

Just speaking for myself, I am only willing to trade accounts without email, as I don't want people using my hosting for spam.

In my case, I only want access to hosting so I can host small, static HTML sites. I'm not trading MYSQL data bases for WP blogs, etc.

Other members can trade whatever they want, but I just want simple sites. And if I find a site I host on a "swapped" domain starts getting decent traffic, I can also move it to my own hosts.

While your keywords and link strategies are at a bit of a risk, being trade partners can also open up JVs. While others know your strategies, you have access to theirs as well. Smart marketers won't steal info from others, instead they will work with partners and share that info for their mutual benefit.

Like most things, there is a risk vs gain that each person needs to consider...Members that participate, rate and comment on other members can go a long way to reducing much of the risk.

Private Blog Networks aren't working like better. Some networks have been taken down by Google. If I have $160/month budget for SEO, I'd better buy SEO package. There are cheap packages in Warrior For Hire section. Just need to be wise in picking services.

    I would suggest to

    1. Hire one good article writer
    2. Hire one professional for article submissions to article directories, Press releases sites, and blogging using web 2.0
    3. Create target for each month for both guys like 25 articles per month, 250 submissions per month or etc
    4. Hire another professional for bookmarking and bookmark all the LIVE articles/blog/press-release OR Use BMR (You have to pay one-time fee for that)

    USD 160/month, You are done

This gives you massive contextual links back to your website which Google loves and gives more authority.

I think you've been sleeping under a rock cause BMR doesn't exist anymore, at least not in the old way Besides that it wasn't one time fee but $59/month. I did receive an email recently that they are coming up with something new though.

    Here's what I would do:

    1. hire a high quality writer
    2. hire VA (Virtual Assistant)
    3. have them post high quality content to your money site
    4. post content to article directories (aka ezinearticles)
    5. create web2.0 blogs (using quality content)
    6. build backlinks to your 2nd tier campaign
    7. build high quality backlinks to your money site

Also don't forget the importance of social sites like Facebook and Twitter.

I think this is a fail proof campaign to get your website ranking well in Google. Just don't abuse it.

If I have $160 to spend on SEO per month, I can hire a dedicated SEO expert to work on my site full time, from either Odesk/Elance. But before you subcontract the work, make sure you have done enough keyword research on your target keywords. Stay away from private blogs, they are spam on steroids.

      what host would you recommend,
I bought a reseller account just for swapping, keeping my 2 VPS seperate.

I don't want to recommend a specific host simply because I want to encourage folks to seek out their own hosting so we have a greater variety and we're all not just swapping hosting on Host Gator accounts.

There's an important concept Google uses called "Hilltop", which is Google's attempt to see if sites that are linked are connected in any way.

For example, if two sites are hosted on the same hosting company, use the same IPs, the same DNS, the same WHOIS info and the same physical location for the server, then Google won't give as much "juice" for the link as they would if there wasn't any connection between the two sites.

IMO, the way to get the most out of your own networks is to understand Hilltop and cover your footprints, including the use of affiliate IDs. There's really no point in hiding your identity only to use the same AdSense ID on multiple sites, which tells Google exactly who you are.
