Since Google has updated their algorithm once again, it is now tougher for us to do SEO with them. But there are other alternatives like Yahoo and Bing that could give us more search engine traffic. Are they still worth for you right now? Or you are just relying on Google only?

    yookerseo,
It is still good to get traffic from Yahoo and Bing even if Google owns the lion's share of traffic.

It is not good to rely on just one traffic source like big G anyway.

Bing is pretty good. The thing that I've noticed with Bing is that it doesn't index pages as promptly as Google. You should submit your articles/posts to Digg; that usually gets them indexed in Bing.

Curious, I've been posting backlinks and other SEO things and google is ranking my sites well, but rankings in yahoo and bing have been pathetic. What do you have to do differently to rank in yahoo and bing?

Bing is definitely on the rise, the quality of their search results have improve dramatically in the last few years. Microsoft has spent a lot of money(billions), time, and energy getting it where it's at though. I personally hope Bing continues to take market shares from Google, the playing field needs to be evened out IMHO.

Typically if a website is doing extremely well in Google, it is indexed well in Bing and Yahoo as well. Google owns something like 67% of the market share of search traffic so it's not bad that you only focus your efforts to ranking well in Google.

Going by these numbers, I think Yahoo and Bing are definitely worth trying to rank on.

With Yahoo and Bing at around 30% combined, that it still a large share of the searches.

We are totally rely on google as we are not ranking well on Bing and yahoo search engines. Yes google is making difficult to do search engine optimization and really day by day its algorithm change and shake the whole web world. But still compare to Bing and yahoo, Google have good amount of traffic.

Yahoo and Bing still gives good traffic volume, but not like Google But if you're trying to rank on Google, you can also get rank on Yahoo and Bing. If get downed by Google, you don't get downed by Yahoo and Bing IMO

As far as i know, Bing it's bigger in the mobile world, and as this world is getting bigger and bigger, i really think you should keep an eye on Bing, since it might become bigger than Google for mobile phones.

Yep, definitely keep an eye out for Bing. I think it's market share will dramatically improve with the launch of Windows 8 and the new windows phones. Can't say the same for Yahoo though.

Bing is just another search engine out there that is willing to hand you free traffic. Why not take it?

Ok, but what do you have to do differently to get ranked well on Bing? It seems my techniques work well for google, but my rankings on bing and yahoo are far behind.
