Hi there I just installed analytics and am trying to setup it up for a few blogs of mine. I use a WP analytics plugin and got it working for my default site, but I cant seem to work out how to Add a second site to my analytics. All this dashboards and widgets is doing my head in, just let me add a new site dammit!

    • Hi Ernie,

You don't have to do much to adding a new site, just click on admin button top-right corner of the page and then either create new account or add the site in existing one. I think you should add your new blog in existing account if you are the only person going to handle and manage the account.

If you find any difficulty, please do write me back.
  • Thanks graham, but how do I add the site in existing one? And will it show seperate stats for the 2 sites?

    • Ernie..In GA we have a structure like this-the hierarchy starts from Account then Web property and finally the profile.

Now, if you want to add another website in existing site, it will be called as web property.

If you are using new version of GA, then click the admin button. You can see now your account names, now click on account in which you want to add new website. As you click the account name, you will see the default property means you had not created that. now click the button + New Property and add the URL and all needed information.

Yes, you can see all the stats individually.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • On your Google Analytics account, click Admin, then click New Account..Fill up the form and you have your newly added site on GA..
  • Try to experiment with your website . The new GA offers additional reporting capabilities for new marketing demands. Don't use wp plugin. Just copy the tracking code and paste it to footer.php of your template
  • Thanks guys all good now.
  • You must create a new 'account' for each site but they will all be in the same 'profile' as in your e-mail address sign in.
