1. What exactly is a press release?

2. Can I write PR for every page of my site. Is it a good practise?

3. What is the best way to use PR to increase your SEO strength, Backlinks and Google SERP ranking?

Any experienced user doing PR for few years can answer these queries very effieciently.

    A Press Release is more or less an article written in the form of a news item. It is a little more factual in tone and needs to precise and to the point. There are templates available here in the forum for you to understand the format of a Press Release, so I suggest you go through those.

    As far as writing PR for every page goes, I have always only written PR's for my homepage and have got wonderful results - so never gave it a second thought

    Best way? Write a well formatted PR and submit it to the high PageRank PR directories on the web. Make sure that unlike articles, PR is not spun coz PRs serve as excellent high quality traffic driving vehicles if scripted well.

    I am doing SEO for all my affiliate sites - and believe me when I say that PRs are handy indeed. However, I still suggest you look around here for more details and I am sure if I have missed out something, you will find your answers here.

    1. A press release is a document issued to media and consumers announcing a newsworthy yourself and your product. Press Release distribution is a good technique to announce and push latest happenings but to look at it as a means to accumulate traffic or backlinks is futile!
    2. There is no benefit of writing PR for every page.
    3. PR helps very little in SEO, so I would advise you not to use it as SEO strategy
