Google ruined me and my business

First calm down! It happens from time and time again for a new website. You have stated that your website was built 70 days ago. So, now we are dealing with a new website.

Often Google ranks a new website on top results for its target keyword but drops it later because of many reasons. One such reasons could be the fact that your bounce rate was high? I mean users come through Google and find nothing useful at your site. This is very common for review type websites that does affiliate marketing.

From what you were describing I guess your site might have not got substantial amount of content and might have tried ranking for hot keyword just to make sales. From what you have explained I see this might be the only reason. Since you have not done anything wrong from a backlinks standpoint I may be right.

Now to get authority in this niche and dominate the rankings, you may want to:

- Add more authoritative content. Remember 1500 words articles is not authoritative unless and until it is useful for the end user.
- Add a blog and feed your site with continuous content on a daily or biweekly.
- Start slow with link building as this is a new site and expedite once you gain authority.

All in all, Google can not ruin you or your business. Google is a powerful platform and you need to know the 'right' way to dominate it. Remember there is no short cut. Run behind serving your customers... Rankings and money will run after you

A site 70 days old is way to new to have a settled in ranking

You need to keep building back links, keep adding quality content and keep driving traffic to your site

I have had sites jump around for a year before they finally settle into position

Do not just rely on your Google ranking to drive traffic to you site!!

do you use Google Webmaster Tools ? if Google penalizes a website then it definitely sends a message to its Webmasters account, if you didn't received then maybe your website is attacked by Google Dance algorithm. My website was also disappeared from its keyword in top 10 pages but after 2 , 3 days Google agained placed it in higher position than before

Chill out man, if you're using white hat, don't be surprised to see your rankings come back even stronger. My rankings dropped out of nowhere ( I only use white hat) and now it's back. It's also common for new sites to fluctuate.

yep my site got hit today...and a lot of re shuffling of sites in my niche as someone else mentioned....i hope it comes back...my site was stable for 4 months...

1- as every one has been saying, a 70 days old website is going to see this kind of movement. So be patient and keep improving your site and work on it.

2- I just don't understand this when people say google destroyed my business. Come on, get real! Google is a business and is there to make money. Google didn't ask you to build your business on their land and they certainly didn't guaranty your business would succeed and stay alive forever.

My site lost a bit ranking in the last few weeks as well, but I don't Blaim google for that. It's my choice to build a business around google and what it can do for me. If I fail, it's not google's fault. If you don't want google to "destroy your business" then use other methods of traffic generation, social media is one example.

Instead of saying google destroyed my business, learn from this and try to not rely solely on google for traffic. Start working on other traffic generation methods. All that said, your site is way too new for you to go crazy over this.

I hope I didn't come across harsh, I am just being honest and plus this happened to my 4 year old site with 4000 daily traffic and $300 A day earnings as well, so I know the feeling, but you can't be mad at google for running their business the way they want to run it.

Did you build any backlinks to your website? If not, it could explain why your website "temporarily" showed up in the search results and then disappeared.

Stop relying on one website to make you income. You have not established a business, and you are not dominating Google. Google can do whatever the hell it wishes with your site's rankings. If your site's crap, then you're not to get results. If your site presents high-quality informative content, then you'll be rewarded in the long-term (if not only by Google, but also through users sharing content etc).

Your website should be a long-term investment. Not a short-term "GET PAGE ONE" and quit forever.

You only put your site up 70 days ago? You may have been sand boxed. Normally, you get some good results at first then you disappear for a while. If your content has any traction and you get sustained social mentions, you move back up. This happens. Don't worry. Keep producing good content. Keep building a rapport with your audience. Keep your eyes on the prize!

You need to give us more information if you want to see more competent advice.Did you change your anchor text?How many links have you gotten?How many per day?What kind of them?You've mention some of them, but describe in details...

My advice is try to post guest articles and also try to get more G+ buttons.

Once It happened with one of my site too.I was at the first page of Google for 2 months and just started to build backlinks and my site gone! Yea sure the site was sandboxed and disappeared from Google.I stopped working on the site.The site eventually get back after 3 months and again first page of Google.I started work on it again like posting contents,build few quality backlinks and site gone again.

Ever since the recent onslaught of continuous updates, I've diversified into other sources and I suggest that you do the same! Relying on Google alone will be detrimental.. I've seen that happen to tons of people already

Your site is too new to have a stable ranking in Google. Just keep building high quality backlinks, and your site will eventually improve in rankings.

My site was up for 2 1/2 years, selling quality medical products with good content. I would average 4-500 visits a day, not much, but I am niche and I made £1m a year. My business has collapsed and as of today I get 4-5 visits a day. non so far today at all.

I did nothing wrong, but google have destroyed my life completely as I now have no income but the same overhead. My business was online only. I kn ow everyone will have an opinion on this, but I have worked 100 a week for years bulding my company, only for it to die overnight, literally.

You quit building links, and you went down in serps, seems normal.

It usually takes at least 6 months or more before you have any stable rankings.

Personally I don't like google and I don't like (or bother with) SEO and for these reasons that I have now completely redesigned my business model accordingly.

It is Google penalty, please don't build link form any where.

A guy with a 70 days old website and one sell is crying that google destroyed its business.
Where the business is to write articles to do sells = affiliate links site cloaked as "blog".

Googles biggest problem are these kind of people, assuming google will make them rich.
