Keeping a page ranked...

I have been dabbling in internet marketing for quite some time now, but have some questions that have been haunting me. I think I have the right answer to it, but just want to see if anybody out there can possibly add to it or even steer me further in the right direction.

I made my first $15 sale with a niche back in September. I was excited as heck and know that I can do it again, except I'd like to increase that sale 100,000 times over.

I had a baby and got side tracked, but am getting back on track - just in case your wondering. I have a desire more than ever to quit my full time job and strictly work 4-6 hours a day making money online.

Lets say I have a niche that has some potential. I get my domain name, host it on my server, find some keywords for it, make a website and have clickbank products/services to offer and it's live... what's the next step?

if it's just a squeeze page how do I get it to remain on top of google with no new content being added to the site? backlinks? But I don't think just backlinks would do it alone?

I mean just throwing a website up and having keywords all over the place (pics, header, title, text...) isn't just going to be enough. There has to be something more.

How do people get their sites on the first page of google in just a few minutes to a few hours?

I had a blog style website, which I managed to get to the first page of google and managed to keep it there for a few weeks, but I was writing articles, paying people to write articles and submitting them all over the place and using scrapebox to backlink...

Thanks in advance for helping

Just adding backlinks would work, just make sure you're constantly adding high PR links and keep the links diverse as well.

You'll want to utilize the following the best you can

    High PR Links
    Wiki Links
    Social Bookmarks
    Article Submits (Not too many)
Blog Networks (Yes there are still PRIVATE ones that work)
    Social Bookmarks
    Web 2.0s
Press Releases (Try and get them done professionally)
    Guest Posting on related blogs
just anything you can think of!

Now for people getting ranked overnight a partner and I worked on this recently and we developed a strategy involving high PR links social bookmarks and article directories

Now we mixed the above with social signals (facebook, twitter, pinterest) and we were able to get our brand new website on page 1 in just 11 hours

Keep in mind though it all depends on the competition of the keyword

Hey, first of all congrats on your new baby.

From my own experience, internet marketing seems to all like the best job/business around cause ppl make it sound that way however in reality it's really lots of work, I spent many sleepless nights and many 24hrs marathons just writing code or building campaigns but the reward is GREAT and if you put the time in and maybe "few bucks" you get to reach your goal, now back to the SEO question I rarely use scrapebox just simply outsource your link building and have real person build you quality handpicked links it works better and will last longer and brainstorm on how to create organic backlinks it may take longer and might cost more but in return you will get better ranking

PS. scrapebox might be good in some cases I guess it depends on how you use it, i'm sure some warriors will have better tips than me on how to use scrapebox the right way

Keep the high quality content coming, and start targeting people to guest blog with. When you're ranked high, you've got leverage against others in your niche. Offer to guest blog on their site, and start working on getting some high quality content like infographics. Content is much more than words on a page.
