I have a bit of a problem,my on site seo plugins all say I at #15 for my medium competition keyword , but seoserp.com says I am at number 67 , and if I check google results with because I am not in the USA, I find my domain on page 7 .so which am I to believe and why does my seo wordpress plugins say I am on page 2 ?( My domain is nearly 2 mths old)


I use seo rank checker and statcounter , and in stat counter I see over 100 sometimes 200 unique visitors per day and over 300 page views daily,my alexa rank is 500,000 , so I know I am getting traffic and the traffic in statcounter says google.com #15 and my keyword.

  • Within a 24 hour timespan your rankings will be under constant fluctuation, so your plugins and trackers may possible be picking up date from different time periods. If you want to track your rankings, take a look at something like MicroSiteMasters.com which tracks once per day.
  • Dude don't mess your head up with multiple tools. Try to find one tool which will give you the most perfect result and stick with it, I only use Google adwords and do everything manually. Time and task bring your website on the top...
  • How can I find one which works perfectly, when they all tell me different things.

    @miscbrah , my plugin and tracker are showing same things, its the external seo checkers that show something different, I really dont know why...
  • micro site you gave me said I was on page 7 also, but if I was on page 7 I wouldn't be getting any traffic.So I dont understand this,and all the traffic is from search engines which says I at #15
  • now my domain showing up at 10 abd in other serp checkers in pos #65 . dont know why this is...
  • Instead of using a tool to check your ranking, I would suggest that each time you check your ranking you must erase your cookies, your temp files and history and then try checking the ranking. The url string you are using is perfect i.e &gl=us.

    • I also suggest the same. You must erase the cookies and history and then use the parameter &gl=us

      Tools doesn't give exact rank every time. Its better to check manually if you want to check few number of keywords.
