I have one old site in which google analytics code is implemented after body tag closing. I am getting all info without any error from google analytics. But in my mind question arises that now google introduced urchin tracker which require to implement before closing head tag. So, my old site analytics code is working properly or not how should I know?

  • the perfect postion for the code is just before closing the head tag, but the benefit of placing at the bottom of the page is to speed up the loading speed of website. but many features do not work properly if you put them in the end specially when you attach webmasters account with your analytics account then it gives many errors. If you facing any kind of error then cut the code and place before closing head tag. Nothing wrong will happen
  • Good information ,,I placed my Google Analytics code just above the body tag and the Google Webmasters code in the meta tags after the title, description and keywords. Kindly let me know whether I am correct or wrong.
