I have. My micro sites don't carry Adsense on them. I built numerous sites since April 17 and am very impressed with the results so far.

I urge you to try it. Build an EMD or a brandable domain geared towards a few key phrases and get a handful of decent backlinks. 5 or so and see what happens. I think you'll be impressed.

Yes I did one, It is ranking in second page without any backlinking. 11K exact matches a month.

Will slowly and carefully backlink to find what is working.

I haven't built any new sites, but I have not seen any difference in the traffic to my existing site. I don't have any Adsense on it and I am not using low quality links.

I just built a site and have some adsense on it. It is a local site that I am building to try and get it to page one and then sell some ads or offer seo to other professions that aren't on page one. It went from being nowhere in the top ten pages to page #2 overnight. I was kind of excited to see that.

I have a client that pushes out 10 new micro niche sites a week and I do SEO for him, 8 out of 10 are on page 1 now. It seems to be just as easy as before, although I now use my own developed technique with links from high authority sites.

Btw a PR8 web2.0 where you can make a free blog is not considered a link from a high authority site in my eye's. I only use web2.0 as a buffer zone as too much strength directly to a site is no good.

Yes right from the start but for some odd reason it doesn't seem to work on all of the sites. No clue why, thats why I started to use web2.0 as a bufferzone to see if that makes a difference.

I managed to find 1 of the 2 sites that didn't rank and it ranks at #34

Cause he orders large amounts and flips the sites after a couple months, our process is real simple and low budget, he sends me the sites, I pass it on to my VA and I remove the data again so I can't track the other site right now.

Anyway few days later he comes back with new orders and I always ask how it worked out and he is always happy, otherwise he wouldn't keep ordering

Btw most of these are just 1 page sites and the rankings stick. I made a custom package for him, earlier I sold it as the "secret sauce" package but somehow there was no love for it so I removed it again, now I decide to only do it for large customers that have many sites to rank.

  Nope! I like to keep my network clean, only max 10 homepage links will be rented out and only 100% high relevant quality guest posts.

I pretty much scrapped everything I had(because I had a strong feeling I got bitchslapped by G) and started a new site, bought domain on 25th and set it live yesterday. It has one page of content on home page which I wrote from researching the niche, and currently 6 articles which I grabbed on ezinearticles.

Had it indexed in hours, but no rankings to speak of yet. It only has a handful of low quality links pointing at it right now...

Try and add at least a few decent PR3 type links if you have them in your arsenal. I think you'll see upward movement, especially with so many websites hurting from penalties.

I did the same with my own site, I wrote 1 article myself and uploaded a couple of Ezines, it's still not in the top 1000. Ofcourse 1 site doesn't make a case study but I was somewhat surprised by it. It has been over a week already, yeah shoot me, normally I get results within 4-5 days.

It may not make a case study but it will certainly be helpful info to those of us trying to figure things out. Maybe the new algo rollout has delayed your progress a few days, who knows. Let us know when it ranks!

I must also say the keyword is: "payday loan lenders" so guess it's a bit more tough then the typical micro niche keyword.

Yes i have and many website is ranking 13 and 17 for two of my target keywords in only 11 days. Google update is never meant to scare you if you engage in the right seo methods.

Update: One of the sites I created a week ago is now on page 1.
Site has only about 800 wrds and I`ve built only few backlinks.
Kw density is 3-4 and have bold, italic, underlined kw and kw also h1-h3.
(so, google doesn`t seem to punish me so far for "pre-penguin-style" onpage optimization)

I guess I`ll be taking this approach in the future; thin blogs and few backlinks.

Just my opinion (most of everything you read is conjecture right now) but I think things are going to settle, they might just push an update or something. The results are unbelievably horrible right now.

I've built about ~5 sites after April 26 and though none of them are ranking in the top 3 yet, 3 are ranking on the first page. These aren't terribly difficult keywords and I've followed the normal course of backlinking that most people do (and very few backlinks, actually). The rest have keywords that are more or less equally competitive and the backlink profile is nearly the same too (but they aren't ranking on the first page, yet). I've not done any on-page optimization either and all of them have 5-6 pages of content as of now.

I have one site in particular that has some *really* good links, in a really, really difficult market and it went down to #7 from the #2 spot that it was occupying for about 8 months (major traffic drop). Funnily, it was overtaken by a site that had only tags and nothing else but it's been taken down. My site has been going up and down, between 2 and 10 for the last five days and I'm pretty interested in seeing how that pans out.

I'm also trying to dig into the results to see if I can find a pattern but it'll be more conclusive once things settle down (right now it's a random mess: bookmark pages, irrelevant pages, pages with no content and all sorts of other nonsense is ranking in top 3, at least for long tail, very specific keywords). I'm seeing huge jumps across many of the sites that I own (some of them have been thrown into oblivion but they weren't important; I was just using them as a test platform, so I'm not going to bother with them).

I am wondering if a site is "under the radar"..... that is it is aiming for a modest to weak keyword as far as competition goes then it is not really a worthwhile target for negative SEO andit is easy to rank then it is more likely to rank in the current climate?

There's a lot of speculation as to the best way forward with site design now but I doubt anyone really knows the answers.

I have several websites, some of which have benefitted, some that have just literally gone overnight. Some of them I have used exactly the same SEO techniques on with completely different outcomes.

At first I thought that it may be links from my ezine articles that had caused damage, but then this didn't add up. Then I thought it might be my Social Monkee backlinks...this didn't add up, EMD, doesn't add up??? I have pages with no SEO that have gone up, sites with SEO that have gone down, totally irrelevant pages versus searches that are now page 1 and just about every which way in between...in a nutshell I'm clueless at the moment and I think everyone else is too.
