I see lot of people have lost their ranking since this new google update, some that claim all white hat techniques to ones that use blackhat and automated systems. I was hoping some of you, that have kept their rankings in place, can share what your methods were in regards to seo, onpage and offpage.

my site (in sig) ranking was same as before, even its increases on some of my targeted keywords after the change.
Onpage SEO: right click on the blog and click on "view page info" for more detail.
Offpage SEO: i purchase 10 articles on my niche every month and then blast those articles to web2.0, article sites, blogs, wordpress blogs and wiki sites.

I have not really lost any rank. My site has actually moved up 40+ spots(just ranked at 180 2 weeks ago) in the last 72 hours( now at 37). I have 30 pages of unique content, all thoroughly researched. I have a few Youtube videos, images on every page.I have internal links along with external on every page, and have roughly 50 backlinks from other sources( not from me). I don't write any articles out side of my page. I use Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, and Digg to promote the page. This is my first site, and I am sure there are many more things I could be doing, but I am learning still.

Lost virtually no rankings except for a couple weak AdSense sites- I use an H1 tag followed by at least 5 or 6 LSI keyword H2 tags - private blog network that I control completely - some manual blog comments - manual Web 2.0's, some YouTube links - some manual social bookmarks. STRONG anchor text diversity and strong deep linking.

I offer great content that does more informing than selling.

Is it long tail keywords and inner pages?
