The keywords are one of the most important seo thing. Choose them wisely.

Choose a primary keyword for each of your promotional post, and atleast 2 secondary keywords based o relevancy. Those relevant keywords to your primary keyword. This way of having 1 PK & 2 SK for each of your posts would do great as far as Search Engine rankings are considered.

Keyword analysis is a big subject, but the basics are simple. You need to learn as much as you can (or as much as you need) about which keywords have the most searches compared to the least competition, because the better that ratio is, the more visitors you get.

While in-depth research into competition can be very complex, including backlinking strategies and on-page keyword optimization for other sites competing for the same keywords, you can start to get some idea of which keywords are best for you, by looking at keywords relevant to your site, in the Google AdWords Keyword Tool, seeing the competition figures and global searches figures. You can also get slightly more accuracy by looking at the number of Google search results for each keyword.

Have a look at that, and compare that with the numbers of actual visitors you get on various pages, and see how much correlation there is. There will be some correlation, but simple analysis is not a 100% accurate method of determining visitors, so it's useful, but not prefect.

use your primary keywords in H1 and H2,, use your secondary keywords in your posts wisely. Make sure don't do lots of keywords stuffing, use them between 1%-2% of a post.

If you want to rank well with SEO, then yes keywords matter. You integrate them into your site with high quality content that uses them naturally.
