Private Domains - Getting PR on inner pages?

For some sites I have inner pages that get PR from the homepage but some sites don't pass that on from the homepage to the other posts.
Here's something they all have in common:
- noindex categories/tags/archives
- sidebar links to all recent posts and maybe archives
- less than 5 posts per domain
- none have the "nofollow" attribute
- posts at least 4 months old
One difference between each site is the WP theme.
Any idea why only sometimes the PR will pass to the inner posts?
