godaddy duplicate content fix

I have a question i was hoping someone here could answer. On all of my other sites (different hosting companies) I have always done an htaccess re write or a 301 to resolve the dup content between www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com but on godaddy they say that they use a DNS fix for the problem (something about them all resolving to the same IP even though the site can be called up at www.mydomain.com or my domain.com)

    I don't think that you will have much to worry about but you can reinforce it by using the appropriate rel canonical tag for each page.
