How do you manage your SEO projects?

Hi guys, I've been working on some software which originally started as a way to organise all of your keywords and check the rank and manage the tasks for your team (that you allocate to rank for each keyword).

However I'm thinking about re-developing the tool into more like a robust project tool like basecamp but specifically for online marketers.

So it would be a way to manage all of your work as an online marketer but it would have some specific features that make it particularly useful for SEO projects (keyword organisation, rank tracking, inbuilt link building services etc).

I'd love to know what people think of this and how people are currently managing their SEO projects and in particular the following tasks:
  • Organising all of your sites and keywords
  • Rank tracking
  • Delegating tasks to your team or managing your own tasks
  • Ordering link building services (i.e. blog commenting, web 2.0 creation etc)

My sense is a lot of this gets done in different tools or manually and I'm wondering if people think it would be useful to have a web based tool that manages all of this.

    I'll start then:
    • Organizing my keywords is done in a Google docs spreadsheet shared with my team
    • Rank tracking is often done manually with incognito chrome browser and verified with other sources like SEM Rush. I have tried rank trackers like SERP fox too
    • Our teams tasks are managed via a project tool called Insighty which is integrated into Google apps. I just put the main broad tasks in there a lot of the detail is discussed via Skype.
    • External link building services are either ordered direct from the vendors or because of the hassle involved we tend to do a lot of lower level link building tasks ourselves.
