Opening a second Adsense account? Hear me out...

From this point on, I'm creating much larger (100+ page) sites, longtail KWs, non-EMD, no backlink building, etc. Trying to do it in a more "legit" way.

All my previous sites (slapped by a bunch of Panda bears and an angry Penguin) were all 10-15 page sites. Doesn't mean the quality of the content was poor, but still...

I was thinking that, given the nature of my previous sites, and the time and effort I'm now putting into my new sites, it might be prudent to have the new, larger sites under a new Adsense account, and that's what I wanted to ask about.

This question's probably been beaten to death, but when I was reading up on it today, I saw a lot of conflicting answers and opinions, so I'd appreciate it if someone could set it straight.

1. I'm in Canada.
2. Is all I need to do: Register a new business; Get a different address; Create a high quality site; apply for a new Adsense account with the new business as the payee name and the business's address as the mailing address?

Other questions:

1. Am I correct that Adsense won't approve accounts that use a P.O. box as the address?

2. Is it, or isn't it necessary to hide your IP address or use a different computer when logging into a new Adsense account if you have more than once active account?

Thanks for your help!

First of all good luck with your new sites. here's my answer how you can get adsense approved account.
First, you need to create a youtube account an upload some videos, then on setting page goes to monetize page, you will be redirected to adsense link, you can create your new google adsense account there, and google team just need a few days to approve your account.

Heya nest, thanks! It was your posts that got me rethinking and encouraged about making sites that way. Best of luck with your site(s), too.

TheProgrammer, thanks for taking the time to reply - but I'm looking specifically for advice about opening a second account with different contact info - I just want to know if I've got the necessary steps correct.

    Anybody? Cheers.

If you are banned by adsense, then you may want to have everything new.

If not, no worries, you can have a personal & business account at the same time. However, if one of your account is banned in future, all adsense account associated with it will be banned as well.

People - my account is not banned. All I'm trying to figure out is the best way to create a second account, in a manner that would not associate it with the first account in case something were to happen to the first account.

As for my "new strategy", there's nothing really "new" about it. I just plan to make larger, more useful sites which target the questions people are asking in whatever the niches may be and not spam-backlink them.

Anyone out there that can confirm if what I have in mind for opening a second account without it being associated with my first account is the way to go?

    Cheers

Correct adsense won't accept P.O boxes.

What you need to do for a new account is the following :

Business name (although you can actually have your same name, but change your address)
    use a mail forwarding address
Change web browser (they detect your web browser, change your user agent, able to through firefox)
Change ip address (easily done in many ways, router, vpn,)
    A completely new website/domain

This would get you a complete new account with Google Adsense.

I do this only to diverse my websites between many accounts, so just incase the ban hammer ever happens then i have others that are earning as well.

Hope that helps you out pal.

      Clear answers. Yay!

Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem to do these things. Thanks for clarifying the P.O. Box issue - I had considered using one 'til yesterday, but am glad now that I didn't. Other services are available, fortunately, which I can use to get a different address.

      Appreciate the helpful reply; thanks!

      Hey Seadragon,

Do you need an LLC to create another business name? I heard it costs almost 1000 dollars to create an LLC, and that is rather expensive. Are there any other ways to obtain a tax id without creating an LLC?

Yea, the most important thing is that you use a different IP. If Google finds out that you are logging into the account with the same IP then they would investigate.

In regards to your question about different IP addresses and more than one account - I have an adsense account and my wife has an adsense account - both are registered to the same address, checks come to that address and I "do not" use a proxy. I often log out of my account and right into her account.

I have had my account since Adsense started and hers is about 5 years old.

    Yes it is possible.
I know several bloggers in India who got approved second AdSense account after getting banned.

And in US and Canada it's much easier.

Are you referring to P.O Boxes? because i was refused with a P.O box address, but not a mail forwarding address.

I had inquired at the post office about renting a P.O. Box, but now I understand that Adsense doesn't accept P.O. Boxes - so I'm now referring to using a mail forwarding/receiving service, with a non "P.O. Box" address.

        Cheers

Yeah mail forwarding is the best way forward.

Remember you can still use your own name even if you've been banned.

Google can't discriminate on names, there is always someone out there with a similar if not same name.

Just the address and other important factors need changing.

    Hello,
congratulations for your new site and wish for your success!
    1. IMHO, Yes. You cann't make PO BOX as your address
    2. Not necessary. It's safe to use same computer for multiple account.
