Why Doesn't Google Max Out My Daily Budget?

Hey Warriors,

I've got a PPC campaign that's profitable. I'm getting about 7-8% CTR, and my budget is set at $50/day. My CPC limit is around $.40. For whatever reason, Google isn't driving more than $5 dollars worth of clicks to the link every day!

Why isn't it sending more traffic my way? Do I need to raise up my CPC? Because I still need this to be profitable, and I don't know how much higher I can raise it before I'm no longer making money! Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks very much.

Probably because you are not bidding high enough to get enough clicks to max out your budget.

    Try two things:

    1. Raise Your Bids
    2. Bid on *more* keywords

I would opt for the second item.

    Cheers!

      Thanks for the advice Gauher!

And gcrocker, my average position is 3.2, with my max bid of $0.40/click. What average position do you prefer? What do you think about mine?

Thanks again for your responses :-)

That sounds fine. I wanted to be sure you weren't too low to get traffic.

Is your campaign budget options set to "Accelerated: Show ads as quickly as possible"? That can help spend faster when Google's not sure what to expect with your keywords during a day.

The keywords you have may just not be searched on very much. Are you using only exact match? Try phrase and broad to see how that works out. Maybe searchers are using a different word order from what you expected?

Also try increasing your daily budget. By default, I set mine to $1000 a day (I don't even come close to spending that per individual campaign though).

You need to tell Google: "I'm serious dude, bring the traffic on."

Keep in mind that Google can send only a finite amount of traffic your way. There are other Adwords competitors as well as organic results fighting for your prospect's attention. And do your terms have a high enough volume?

Everything sounds setup ok but, i would guess your keywords don't generate enough searchs to max out your daily budget.
