Hi

Whats the deal with these japanese sites that keep coming up. When something is too good to be true it normally is. They have page ranks of 3/4/5. Some have low obls and just 30 or so comments. I do a pr fake checker with several sites all bounce there pr back as real. When I do a index check with google there indexed. And finally when you go to leave a comment it asks you for a password and you can type anything in the password field and it automatically accepts it and publishs your comment.

I thought it could be a phishing site aimed at getting you to type a password in but it doesn't make sense as the sites are as a i say with a geniune pr and are large and complex.

When I'm hunting down links by peeking behind a site's curtain with SEO Spyglass, I'll often find a .jp sites. Most of them are spammed to heck. I'll grab a link from them to a Web 2.0 site or even a money site. I don't believe that a few links here or there on a spammed up page will cause you problems if the majority of your links are not on spam pages. I'll often use these low-value easy links to add some diversity to the anchor text of the links pointing back to my site.
