Backlink checker tool

Other than Backlinkwatch.com, Do you guys use any tools to check your backlink? Specially the tools that show anchor text as well.....

The reason is, after Penguin updates, I heard it is better to reduce over optimization of anchor text and we should not have 50% backlinks using same anchor text.

  • I use webmaster tools. Can't believe no one said it yet. I would not focus on which links you do have but better yet focus on which ones you are creating. Diversify. That is the point of organic search results.

    Instead of backlinking for one keyword over and over try choosing 20-30 and rotate them along with your posting habits. Never let the same content link with the same keyword and keep it as natural looking as possible. That is my best advice.

    • Google webmaster tools shows zero backlinks for my site......it has never shown a single one....

      anyone else have this issue?

    • Along the same topic (rather than creating a new one), do any of these tools allow you to monitor your most recent incoming backlinks to a site?

      For example, I have some non-wordpress sites I'd like to monitor the latest backlinks coming in. Preferably with the ability to show date discovered in search engine(s).
