Shall I use 301 redirect for this?

Hello Warriors,

I am maintaining a real estate site and they are selling apartments, flats in India.

Assume these are my pages
URL 1 :http://www.mysite.com/project 1
URL 2: http://www.mysite.com/project 2

Assume "Flats in india" is my keyword. For this keyword URL 1 is been ranking on 1st page which was sold out and URL 2 is been ranking on 2nd page which has some apartments for sale.

My doubt is shall I use the 301 redirect to redirect the URL 1 to URL 2.

Better you should mention in your URL1 that More apartments are available on URL2....

You might loose the relavency if the apartments for URL1 are not the same as the URL2 depending on the KW's. I would put the link on URL1 in that case.

But if the apartments are exactly the same just on a different floor of the same block or something then use the 301.

I would not use a 301 i would just place a link on the site. Its better to own position 1 and 2 then to be redirecting 1 to 2
