A Warrior's Backlinks Dilemma

Hello fellow warriors,

Like many of you, i was hit by the penguin. I am still on my feet, but i lost a big chuck of my revenue, and a lot of SERP in several of my websites.

I won't lie, i was doing really well before the update. I know this was repeatedly said to not rely on Google as your only revenue source/income source, but if we want to face reality, for now Google will always be our primary traffic source.

Now for my questions - I know many of you are struggling with the Penguin as well. What Im really interested in knowing, is whether you guys stopped using services such as Linkvana and other blog networks.

Moreover, such networks have an options to remove all links to your website. For instance, as a Linkvana member myself, i can contact their support and have them remove all backlinks to a specific website/all websites.
The pro - kind of obvious, removing "bad" backlinks should positively affect my SERP (i guess). The question is, are my sites "tagged" already by Google?
The Cons - Perhaps Google isn't on to Linkvana's websites yet? Should i really lose dozens/hundreds of backlinks? And most important, BING/YAHOO/ASK like this backlinks (am i right here?). I am actually getting a solid traffic out of these SE. Perhaps me ditching those links to *maybe* improve my Google SERP is gonna negatively affect my other SE (by losing those links), only to still get ignored by Google.

What would you do? Heck, what ARE you doing?
