When publishing content with wordpress for your micro niche site do you publish your articles as a page or as a post?

I've noticed with posts the advantages are that you get several h1 tags in your homepage with a legit reason for them being there. With Jquery Accordation Menu plugin for wp though you can create nice navigational menus with pages.

What do people prefer to publish there articles as and why?

  • It kinda depends.

If you want your readers to easily be able to find articles- pages might work better.

I've also heard that Google likes pages better, as they're seen as more permanent. I dunno if that's true or not since I don't do a ton of SEO anymore, but it something to consider.

    • Yes...the pages also have more authority on search engines especially Google. If I set my blog for micro niche with little contents, so I prefer using pages fro all my contents.

  • Just as I thought. I think the difference is though on your home page where your posts are published you can have multiple h1 tags. Matt Cutts said this is fine as long as you have a legitmate reason for it which of course you do with wordpress posts its part of the default layout
