As I offer forum link building services so I need to know how effective it is in penguin update, it works like before or there are some changes.

With the help of forum links you can build dofollow links, you can build links which receive traffic.

You can also build links on some authority forums as well.

    So you're admitting that you sell a service and you don't know how effective it is?

    That's your job, but let me help you. What you're selling might be effective now and for the foreseeable future, but eventually the search engines will catch up with easy, no-effort tactics like this.

    If customers want a long-term stable business based on Google traffic, they'd be wise to avoid services such as yours. If they are promoting throw-away sites, and are looking for a quick buck then why not. right?

      LOL I think there's some shady marketing going on here. hehe..

      I think sigs are good, but I can't stand when people post BS posts like "great post thanks for the info" I always report them here, if it's targeted it works well for traffic, not just links, but its not a major issue with panda but I would say this;

      Rather than having the signature; "Forum Posting Service"

      I would have;

      "Forum Posting Service - Get Thematic backlinks and High Quality Referrals"

      Make it more natural and change it with every forum you use.

    After reading the above posts it seems to me that forum police are on the way. LOL

  • This is what I asked some of our employees to do last week, up to last Thursday:

    • They posted new unique and relevant content, in some of our sites and in the sites of a few clients. They entered the relevant target keywords as tags. Then:

    • They contributed useful and relevant info/advice, to contextually relevant discussion pages, under contextually relevant sections/categories, of contextually relevant Web forums, in contextually relevant niches. These Web forums have large active membership and readership bases. They included links in their content contributions. They used contextually relevant diverse keywords as anchors of those links. Also:

    • They pointed those links to the new unique and contextually relevant posts in our sites and the sites of a few clients, in an effort to provide the members and readers of those Web forums, with supplemental content, offering info and advice, not found in those discussion pages, not even in their content contributions there. The results, after eight days?

    =>> Traffic went up, 10 uniques/day of additional traffic, per site, on average...
    =>> Mailing list subscriptions went up, 5 confirmed opt-ins per site, on average...
    =>> Sales of digital info and Web-based subscription software products and service offers went up, 3 sales per site, on average. What else?

    • The links in their content contributions to those Web forums were indexed by Google after 12 hours, on average. The linked pages were indexed by Google after 24 hours, on average. What does this mean?

    =>> The Google Penguin update has a sub component, the Freshness update. That's why I asked them to post new unique and relevant content, for these tests...

    =>> Google now values contextual relevance more. Many sites that lost rankings after Google Penguin have links in irrelevant pages under irrelevant categories/sections of irrelevant sites, compared to many sites that weren't affected. That's why I asked them to ONLY post unique and relevant content contributions with links anchored by contextually relevant, diverse keywords and pointing to contextually relevant onsite posts, in contextually relevant discussion pages, under contextually relevant sections/categories, of contextually relevant Web forums, for these tests. Anyway:

    The main benefits, as I'm sure you noticed, are additional traffic, mailing list subscriptions and sales. A by-product, a good one I may say, is getting Google-indexed links and onsite posts in contextually relevant pages under contextually relevant sections/categories of contextually relevant social communities (Web forums), with large active membership and readership bases, where lots of user-generated content is frequently posted...
