Google Keyword Tool + Market Samurai

I started building MNS sites about 3-4 weeks ago (15ish so far), have a handful ranking in the first page of Google, hit $6.50+ today in Adsense so far.

Keyword research is the MOST important thing when building MNS. If you find easy to rank + good paying keywords, the rest of the job is easier.

Google Keyword is free and gives you fast results but I don't think it gives ALL the results when you're not signed up to it. I also know this program called Market Samurai. It lets you choose an option like an exact search.

I love Market Samurai. You can literally start from scratch, find good keywords, find a relevant website name, find sources, analyze the competition for each term, the list goes on and on. It's the best all around seo tool I've ever used.

For most research I used Market Samurai and/or the Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

I also like to check out Google Insights, Compete.com and Wordtracker to get keyword ideas.

I do my initial search with Marketing Samurai. Can't beat 800 related terms. Once I find one that sparks my interest, I take a closer look with SEOmoz pro. This is an excellent combination and well worth the $99 dollars a month I pay for SEOmoz.

Why not just go straight to the source, though? (The Google Keyword Tool.) It provides you with the same data, it's free, and it's a LOT faster.

The source doesn't provide convienient data for referring pages/domains, website authority, trust factors, anchor text percentages, on-page grading, quick references to the top 10 ranking difficulty and a ton of other factors that are quite important when performing intelligent keyword research. Why in the world would I use Google Keyword tool to try and come up with the same conclusion? That's like using a basic handheld calculator to do calculus.

Price is not my concern. It easily pays for itself. I'm not researching niche websites or long tail keywords. SEO is a major part of my business and it has to be done accurately and efficiently. The Google keyword/spreadsheets won't cut it for me.

You use Wordtracker free version (trial) or Google keywords tool. Both are effective and free of cost. Rest of the tools are pretty much the same and do not give you any authentic reports.
