I was wondering how important blog comments with hgih pr are for serps. Basically I always use the name as my keyword and website as url. I think everyone does it this way. From my understanding these are all nofollow links and wont help serps. Is this correct?
#important #nofollow or dofollow #rankings

Importance of do-follow and no-follow depend on your targeted search engines. If you target Google then you should build only do-follow backlinks because Google doesn't consider no-follow links as quality backlinks. If you target other search engines, then their is no any difference between do-follow and no-follow because they consider both as quality backlinks.

Which search engine you target, because if you target google then you should require to collect dofollow backlinks. In other search engine case dofollow/ nofollow no matter.

I personally feel that if you are talking from a link builder's perspective, build the occasional no follow link here and there - cause you do not really want Google to start becoming suspicious of your websites if there are only do follow links associated.

The less of a pattern Google figures out, the better it is

This is a very good observation JK. I have a friend who runs a high PR forum that has been coded to make all links posted immediate no follow. That's because there was so much spamming going on for people to get back links that the real posts were getting swallowed up in the process.

You would think that people wanting back links would not want to post on the forum because their links are automatically converted to no follow. That is not the case. In fact, my friend was told that her forum is still a great location for high PR no follow to keep things real.

So you are correct, sometimes it helps to mix in some no follow links.

Its more important than ever after the latest Google Penguin update to make sure that your link profile looks as natural as possible. With this in mind, you should be building nofollow and dofollow links at the same time and making sure that you vary the anchor text that you are using.

Also, remember that if you were gaining links naturally then you would be more likely to get a larger percentage of nofollow links, as most blogs nofollow all outgoing links nowadays.

Yes,these are very true words. Most of blogs are no follow but there are still some do follow blogs. But it will take so much time to find them and most important is blogs should be relevant to your website.Relevancy is very important factor in SEO now.Relevant and do follow blogs plays very important role in high SERP and don't forget to vary your anchor text.

I always vary the anchor text, roughly one third exact anchor text, one third varied and one thrid raw text. Idont ever check the dofollow/nofollow in scrapebox. I was thinking I will just continue to do the same thing and build the links as I scrape them. It will look more natural. Another thing do you think the dofollow helps SERPs more as I can filter the nofollow out

Ok. We should build nofollow links too to prevent Google becoming suspicious of our websites. But will it in anyway help our keyword rankings? I really need to know this.

I think a balance of nofollow and dofollow links are good for rankings of your website. if you target different search engines that should be good enough.

I just spent three weeks creating backlinks in forums and today, through Majestic, found out that the vast majority, are NoFollow. I guess I should perform a "get code" and do a search for NoFollow before I post to a blog?

    Thanks

Setting up “NoFollow” attribute on your page will give no value to all the links. For example, if you have a “NoFollow” blog, all the links posted by internet users that are pointing to their websites won’t be given a value by Google, giving no effects on their website rankings.

However, If a website has set “DoFollow” attribute, any link juice will be passed or given a value by Google. This means, if an internet user will post a link that is pointing to his/her website on a “DoFollow” page, a plus to the website’s ranking will obtained.

Therefore, to prevent from being spammed by internet users, you have to set a “NoFollow” attribute on your website so that all the links that are created by spammers will be useless. The tendency of this is, the people who will post on your page will be natural, not for spam, and high quality.

As long as most of your backlinks are do-follow and only a few no-follow then you are fine. Why would you waste a lot of time in no-follow links. you just need a dash of no follow links to appear natural.

Dofollow Link is a hyperlink that is able to tell all search engines to pass along it’s page rank influence to an outbound link.

Nofollow Link is exactly the opposite. It is a hyperlink that removes the ability to pass on it’s page rank status to other sites.
Nofollow are for not crawling a link by search engine that influence the ranking of a particular website or blog in search engines.

Its important to have both do and no follows.

If search engines see that you have all Do Follow links, how could that be possible :p so you would get nailed for unnatural links... my 2 cents!

Do-follow websites is an important factor for ranking. When you post in a do-follow website and crawler come to that page then it will also crawl your website. And in no-follow it will not crawl your website.
However, we have to use both do-follow and no-follow websites to get backlinks so it will look natural to Search Engines.

Actually Do Follow Link and No Follow link's does no matter for search engine excepting google because google only considered for do follow link's as a quality backlink so its depend on you which one search engine targeted you are.....
    Thank's
