I read some topic in this forum and they said that the backlink is relevant when it has some keywords near the anchor text.

ex:
Dog training is the process of teaching skills or behaviors to a dog. This can include teaching a dog to respond to certain commands, or helping the dog learn coping skills for stressful environments. Dog training(I dont enough post to use link) often includes operant conditioning, classical conditioning, or non-associative learning to achieve the dog performing a desired behavior or skill.

I have a website about dog training, with some sentences above I get a relevant backlink to my website, is it correct ?

If it correct so I can get a relevant backlinks from any site , any topic.
Because if I put some sentences above in my signature in Warriorforum , I can get a relevant backlink about dog training from a Internet Marketing forum.

What's you think about that ? So Do we really need find a relevant forum ?

I wouldn't go around posting that on any website... That's so spammy

You'd be better off just saying Oh I really enjoyed your post here's my website (insert backlink)

It doesn't matter if a backlink is relevant or not a backlink is a backlink

The only plus of having a backlink from a relevant website is that now there is a chance someone on that website will click your link and boom you have one targeted visitor

Only google knows true 100% relevancy, and most of the
time when we talk about relevancy, it's over rated. Any
site can link to anything. Look at wikipedia. The warriorforum.

Forums that allow articles are a great start. I do believe the
      WF is allowing articles somewhere.

If you have unrelated websites, you can get "relevancy"
by link washing. A college website does an article on
college students and credit cards. Links to a credit card
site with article on using credits online. Links to site
for mothers and online shopping. Links to an article
on the preparing children for college. Linking finally
back to the first site. Link washing can be shortened,
but all sites give and receive relevancy, PR, etc.

Don't confuse this with a link wheel. You are laundering
      the link.

Yeah , it look spammy but it 's relevant backlinks right ?
Because I read somewhere in this forum , they said that... just need some keyword near the link( anchor text) , it will be relevant backlink. If that paragraph looks spam , I can rewrite it shorter like 2 sentences. It's look good for a signature forum and has keyword near link(anchor text).

Plus when the site owner actually discovers your ugly spam it fits, the same with a Google plod. There is alot of risk spamming websites now, it's only a matter of time before Google catch you.

You comment on a blog, the site owner feels you are mindlessly spamming his/her blog and report you to Google. They check out your backlinks and you have a ton of spam? Goodbye... they deindex your website.

Doesn't take some super computer to catch you..

Paul, any site can allow backlinks but that doesn't really answer anything. Wikipedia for example groups relevant content by design. Links from a wiki all are connected in some way. There is an article section in the warrior forum but how powerful are those? Who knows. Anyone want to build a page linked purely from general article directories to see?

I posted a thread on this analysis last week but it disappear behind all the whinging.

Penguin Analysis: SEO Isn't Dead, But You Need to Act Smarter | Microsite Masters

I'm not sure how thorough their data source is but they seem to be a respected resource. The breakdown on relevant sites to non is pretty conclusive on their data set. They don't specify how they declare a relevant site but themes can be loosely defined.

The link washing you gave does show how loose relevancy can be but in that example all links would belong. The problem is when you have a site that talks about a mish mash of topics with no link. Many of these random pages have been deindexed since the last update - why or how would Google index a page when it doesn't belong to any of a uses's search queries.

If google sees the page worthless for indexing then are the links worthless too? I would guess so.

Relevance is a major factor and the wiki example is a fail. Just because you don't understand how Google does it doesn't mean they can't. The stuff I've seen.. varying anchor text doesn't matter if you have relevant links but yet.. everyone is talking about varying anchor text. Good seos have been doing that for years! Stop reacting to algo changes and do it right the first time.

In the past, relevance was never an issue with backlinks. But Google's latest update, which is the Panda update, has penalized sites that have backlinks with irrelevant pages. Links to irrelevant sites are now considered as spam by Google. No matter the PageRank or Domain Suffix, don't link with a webpage whose content is not related to yours.

As for the question can I have relevant backlinks from any site, the Panda update is not yet fully understood even by SEO experts. So unless everything about the update has been figured out, it would be best for your site to have backlinks with other sites whose contents are absolutely related to yours. Keywords usually determine the relationship between pages, so keep a good lookout on that.

A relevant backlink is one that you get from a site from your niche. I think you are talking about contextual backlinks (Links covered with relevant text). Google determines relevancy of a site by the site title, content on the page, participation of people, the discussion on that blog or forum. Google can major it by site data which they count by their toolbar. There could be many other ways for measuring relevancy of a site. It's better to find relevant forums and discussions and participate there by adding some value. This way you will find many people who are interested in your products. In simple words, if you want to see the sands you have to visit deserts and if you want to see the waters you have to visit sea. Simply find relevant forums and blogs and be active in the discussion. This is the key. It's called comment marketing as well!

Or create it yourself on different micro-blog, free website, Web 2.0 platforms. Just create a property on these sites, write a relevant article for all of them, and finally place your backlinks in there. You have your fresh, highly relevant backlinks that can gain even more power (and PR), by doing additional link building to these small sites, and adding more content to them. You'll soon have a whole network of these satellite sites passing an insane amount of authority and PR juice to your money site.

Sorry dear..you can't expect backlink from any website. There are number of do follow forum for pets and you can try there. Do not spam, but google is not very clever..if you just post original content and link the keyword purposefully..you will be kicked for sure. The keywords must linked on the fly.
