Attack by Google Penguin update

There are a lot of websites effected by this penguin update and the reason for this is keyword stuffing in web page and cloaking. The websites which has repetitive keywords in their content Google has penalized them. So don't put repetitive keywords in web page and concentrate on unique content for website.

One of the things to consider is: Anchor text from your links.
a) If over 50% of the anchor text in your links has a keyword you are ranking for, Google may not like it.
b) If over 50% of the anchor text from your links has a "money keyword" that is also a risk.
c) A good thing to do is increase the number of links coming from domains and websites within your own niche.
d) Increase the number of guest posts on sites in your own niche.

I can understand your problem as something similar happened to my site too but now slowly I am getting my rankings back. What you need to do is, check your backlinks and remove backlinks from low quality directory sites, forum profiles and other similar sites. Change your site's meta tag and write exactly what your site is about as per the content per page. Try to make some modification in the content of the website, make it informative. You know now most of the blogs or article pages or reviews pages of sites are getting listing and promoted. For my site I recently have created a web 2.0 blog and made just one post and after the Penguin update it is listing in 6th position from last 10 days almost and it also has got PR 0 from n/a in just a week. Then only I figured out that things which will work now are relevancy, quality and informative content. Relevancy is the prime factor!

Avoid over optimization, low quality backlinks,black hat techniques and link farming from your seo work.Keep focus only on quality work.

use unique content
use your keyword randomly (mix your keyword)
use some junk keywords like "click here", "click" etc
use relevant link
use high pr relevant link

I'm not a so called expert but its work for me.

You need to do an analysis of your backlinks first and look closely at where your links are coming from, what the anchor text is, are the links primarily no follow versus do follow etc.

Then compare your backlink profile with some sites in your niche that have survived the Penguin update and look at the difference between them, in particular the percentage of the backlinks that have the anchor text optimized for a keyword that they are targeting.

It is looking like 50% is the number to stay below in terms of optimized anchor text.

Well we certainly cant control if someone links to one of our article or refer to our site.As a solution to penguin update what you can do is removing bad links and submit a reconsideration request though Google webmaster or by using their penguin feedback form.If you are unable to remove bad links,then build the same or even more amount of quality relevant niche backlinks.

Sorry to be harsh, but why not try actually doing research on the matter, as there are TONS of resources on how to fix sites that were hit by the Pengiun update.
