Just wanted to see if there is anything new or someone has moved up.
The SERPs seem pretty stuck to me the last couple of days.

For sure. Just check the sites you have that got hit and remove some keywords to get a lower KW density (between 1 and 1.5% I'd say). Most sites that got hit are "money"-related KWs and are over-optimized with a KW density of 3%+. Not all of them, but most. Add a few lines of content to the pages that got hit and remove some if you feel that could be the problem, then head to pingler and feedshark and you'll be climbing again sooner rather than later.

Penguin seems to be more about the offpage factors so far
maybe you were hit by Panda on 19th?

I could recover some of my sites which were hit by Penguin update. The update has 2 factors: over optimization and web spam.

If you over optimized then it can be faster to return, but if it is for web spam, then it is harder.

Its not possible to recover from penguin update. only the way is to correct your mistakes than wait for the Google Crawler.

If you make changes to your site in an attempt to fix Penguin-related isssues, you'll have to wait until they run the filter (along with any adjustments) again.

It's not integrated into the main algo. It's more like Panda in that regard.

So make changes now, and wait for the next update.

You posted that 10th May, but I thought the first Penguin refresh wasn't until 25th May. Is it possible to recover without waiting for each refresh i.e. Penguin 1.2, etc..?

don't think ti was anything to do with being legit. I think it mainly counted on the quality of the backlinks.

I was also hit by the latest update. But no remorse. That means something's need to be improved. That's Google's nature, it's a natural scenario that every update, positive and negative effect will take place.

i also don't think that only on page effect ranking.I adjust on page but still my keyword is no where in Google.I think this is because of low quality backlinks....

i have sites ranking 2 that have nothing but spam links. This position came after penguin and remains 2. So I doubt it has to do with offpage links.

Luckily my site wasn't affected, but I have noticed great results since making my anchor texts more diverse whilst link building since the penguin update. This week I jumped from position 24 to 2 for one of my main keywords, so chuffed!

ok seems that Penguin is not in real time as we initially thought but incremental much like Panda
That's why SERPs are stuck for most people.
Well that's still a speculation though.

I lost all my rankings with the penguin update after being online for 10 years with my website. I find out that I have over 50,000 links...mostly probably not good links. Is it possible to recover? Jerry

I have tested some washing penguin stroke sites, and i have the strategy already.

What can i say here is start building links on inner pages , especially high quality social links.

But there is a full story with lots of elements involved. The answer to your question is yes you can do recover your website from Penguin stroke.

How many social links do you need, i do not know but they will surely help you.

had a few clients start to recover. Lots of links are being deleted manually by other webmasters freaking out and or blog networks going down.

However, my own site is still sucking and not sure if we will be able to recover

One of my sites definitely got hit hard by Google for a few keyphrases. Some have never recovered but others are doing better than ever. I'm not really sure what Google sees differently between one keyphrase and the other, but they sure keep me guessing.
