How Long Does It Takes to Optimize a PPV Campaign?

Hi guys,
I'm new on PPV and I need advices from those who've done it.
My CPA offer payout is $4 and I set my budget on $10/day on leadimpact. Everyday I got about 360+ views.
My optimization method is
- letting each keyword to eat $2 and if it does not convert, get rid of it
- if it convert, but end up spend $4 without another conversion, get rid of it.
Basically, I'm aiming to get $1 profit for every $1 I spent.
The thing is, it took so long to give chance for all the keywords (250+) to reach $2. I already optimizing for 1.5 month and I think I probably got a few that converting regularly, but the rest of the keywords just eat up the budget and prevent the campaign from being profitable.
What should I do? Should I just take the few profitable keywords and dump the rest of them?
