  • what you're talking about isn't really termed "Blackhat SEO", though it kinnda meets the definition.

    Its called Negative SEO.

You can learn tonnes on it from here.

Its pretty much next to impossible to tell who initiated it and whose doing it(unless they decide to use their own name as anchor text).
    You can't just stop them.

The best thing to do right now, is to register with Google 'Analytic' and report this. You have very good chances of these 'evil' links be ignored if you report it and a Google Employee reviews your site himself/herself.

    Again, do watch the video.
  • Hi,

thanks for the video, its reall important vedio, but i am really think that someone who know this bad stuff maybe can help me with looking at this links and maybe know which program or system the are using and then i can start doing something.

I can see many new incoming links to my website every month in many spammy ancore texts (really bad ancores that not connected to my website but the point to my website!).
I am sure there is domthing i can do, i cannot sit and looking my site going down in google ranking results...
  • It will be hard to find such information as they may had outsourced or distributed this job to many and also may use any fake or some other popular name.
  • There are really only 3 defenses, and none are a good option:

#1 Throw yourself at the mercy of google. You can expect to be ignored.

#2 Attempt to build good links to dilute the bad links. If you spend 5 or 6 times the amount of money on good links that the other guy is spending on bad links you can avoid a penalty. However, this also has a significant chance of backfiring and making your site drop faster. It would also work counter to any slim hope that you might have that #1 above would work.

#3 Ignore it and hope that things will work themselves out. Start creating a new domain now in case things don't work out.

You should be able to identify who is doing this campaign: It is probably one of the sites who is ranked within 5 places of you for your main keyword. Someone is throwing hundreds of dollars at an effort to take you down, only a competitor would spend money to do that.

Option #4 would be to do the same thing to all your top competitors. Once every top site has been knocked off the map it will be much easier to build a replacement site. Governments call this option Mutually Assured Destruction.
