So in late March I got a micro niche website made for me, it uses a WP Blog. It had on-page SEO and a couple of on-page SEO plugins and the guy set it all up for me. So a few weeks passed and the site never sniffed higher than 65 on google so I decided to purchase some SEO packages to see if I could get my page higher on the list.

I tried "drippable" backlinking service for a month and that did absolutely nothing (waste of 45$) then ordered a couple high PR backlinks, which gave it a 5-15 boost of rankings.

Then I ordered a 25$ SEO campaign from Gyuman82 on the warrior forums and about 2 weeks later my site zoomed up from 50-70 to 30-40 then the next day I woke up to find the site ranked at 7. At it's peak it hit 6 and stayed on the top page (6-10) for four days. Then I woke up and my site had fallen back to 70-80's status on google.

What the hell happened? Could this be because the SEO package I ordered just didn't stick long? My website URL is Teacher Appreciation Week ideas if anyone can find anything wrong with the site let me know please. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • It may be dancing around due to all the backlink Services you have been throwing at it.

It's still a rather new site as well, so that might be a factor as well.

    • Google Dance is a fact of life mate.

It's that or they bot-spammed dirty style and all the backlinks got deleted.

Did they send you a report? You should always be VERY wary of any SEO provider that won't provide reports.

Try someone with demonstrable metrics (See second link in my sig).

  • What methods are you successful with in making a steady income? I'm pretty much brand new to all of this and am just trying to learn as much as I can.
  • Another thing I've been hearing about this penguin update is that a lot of WP SEO plugins are actually becoming negative for your website. Is this true? Should I disable all of my on site SEO plugins?
  • ya its just google dance
