If you submit content to web 2.0 sites to build backlinks, is it worth paying to outsource articles so the content submitted is original or is it OK to submit articles which i've already submitted to article directories? I know that Google allows syndicated content and that people post content to web 2.0's for backlinks that has already been submitted elsewhere, but I was wondering a couple of things.

I know that Google allows syndicated content and that people post content to web 2.0's for backlinks that has already been submitted elsewhere, but I was wondering a couple of things.
1. Would the index success rate of the backlinks likely be lower if you don't use original content or wouldn't this make a difference? I intend to submit the article to about 20 web 2.0 sites.
2. Would there be any less weight given to the backlinks if the content submitted to the web 2.0's is already on article directories or doesn't this make a difference?
Cheers,
