Targeting Google US
- SEO |
I have this question: today while Googling my keyword through HMA (Hide My A**), i've noticed that in most cases my rankings for a specific keyword is consistent. I've tried Russian, British, Estonian, Finnish, German, etc. IPs and my keyword was always #11.
Then i checked out whether my rankings will change with US, Canadian and Australian IPs (remember, that i was searching through Google.com, and not any other extension), and i was surprised to find out that in Canada i'm #4, but in the US and Australia i'm not even in the first 100.
I've browsed through the forum to understand why that is. The only useful tip i could find is to have a US server and build links from US IPs. My Hosting Provider is Hostgator which is located in the US, and I've checked my backlinks through SEO Spyglass and saw that most (70-80%) of my backlinks were in fact from the United States.
The keyword is very easy (or at least i think it is), where the top 10 do not have a lot of links on their pages.
So maybe you guys can give me some tips on how conquer Google US?
Some information regarding my domain:
1) I bought it on Digitalpoint forum
2) It used to be a domain with spanish content (something agricultural)
3) I've bought it a year ago.
4) It is a .COM (not an exact match)
King regards,
Andy
