Hi everyone! I have decided to give the seo a try on my own. Since i am new i was thinking about getting a mentor to help my website (not blog) move up in ranking. I saw that Mike Anthony has a service but his website is all Lorum ipsum which was odd so i thought i would check around. Anyone you recommend? I am trying to get into a highly competitive market and would like to make as little mistakes as possible. Thanks
#mentor

There's far too much noise on forums, especially for a beginner.

This is very true, a lot of misinformation, fluff and upsell out there.

Different people have different philosophies when it comes to SEO. Some people are all about white hat, manual backlinking strategies. Others like to use automation programs to speed things up. There isn't really anyone out there that can mentor you on SEO, considering it is based on Google's algorithm which NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT FOR SURE and most "facts" regarding this algorithm are mostly just speculation.

Just try different things, copy things that work from other people and improvise, diversify your backlinks, go for unique backlink strategies etc.

There are some stickied threads in this section to give you a good start.

    Hi,

Welcome to the forum. You will not find mentor who want to coach you personally because they all busy with their business unless you want to pay for coaching. You should learn this yourself step by step. What i suggest:

    1. Check the sticky posts, there are many great posts from competent member. You can learn for free from there.
    2. If you are war room member, you can also learn many great stuff from war room section.
    3. You are trying to make mistake as little as possible? This is not possible, mistake will give you better experience, without mistake, without failure, you will never success.

    Hope this helps.
