Youtube is confusing me

So after putting some vids up on youtube I noticed my profile was Pr3 after less than 2000 views and 3 subscribers. I suddenly got excited thinking I could use youtube to get some really good backlinks to my site.

Later on I am on another youtube profile with over a million views and remember this thought and turn on SEOQuake thinking this guy was gonna have a massive PR but it said N/a

Whats going on here, how can I get a higher youtube profile PR, will this help my seo efforts and why was this guys pr so low?

  • PR, even a youtube channel, is probably 99%
    backlinks.

    Like I've said many, many times. Forget about
    making useless "backlinks" to a video. backlink
    to your channel.

    Put videos on webpages and get traffic to them.
    Or post em on facebook, squidoo, etc.

    Oh. You want an easy backlink to your youtube
    channel? Find any video that allows comments without
    approval. Make a comment. Instant backlink to your
    channel. Okay. You can still comment on approval
    ones, but it takes time. Obviously.

    Just checked mine. LOL! PR n/a.

    Not sure what you mean by your profile page, nor
    "thinking I could use youtube to get some really good backlinks to my site"

  • you can increase viewers by selecting popular tags also sharing your content to other popular sites facebook twitter stumbleupon blogger current a very good tool for this is firefox addon shareaholic
