AskIves.com -- Bad Backlink

I have hired out my SEO over the years (bad idea) and I have 200+ links from Askives - Questions & Answers Archives.

I cannot find out any info on this company.

Would you consider them spam backlinks? Should I try to get them removed?

Also, when removing Penguin backlinks -- is it best to remove the strongest bad ones or is it better to target volume?

I have AskIves backlinks as well - it pulls in search results as content. This isn't something your SEO guys did.

I personally don't worry about sites like that.
